I think you misread my post. I was pointing out that there's definitely skill about but everyone has access to those skills now, even extremely skilled acts don't get wow that was amazing on Reddit, Youtube etc because skill in itself is not a rarity anymore, you can watch 1000's of skilled guitarists, (you won't see as many as good as Tina S for example). Skill is now just ah here's another video of someone doing something that used to be regarded as remarkable but the abundance of content waters it all down.
No point getting upset that the bar has been raised. The collaborations and freedom information derived by the internet has allowed us to move beyond localised groups. If anything opensource has sped up software development and have inspired new generation of coders to refine their art. Alot like the music industry where it used to be a closed off group the internet has given us youtube, bandcamp as such like so people are given a fair chance of fame ;)

This indeed has been around the £70 mark a few times, and this is worth mentioning because the whole point is to get a good price.

I posted a deal a.couple of months back where it was only £65 @ John Lewis with a 2 year warranty.

I know that's then and this is now,but £99 isn't even near to that price,so I wouldn't say it's a very good deal.

I'd say if you are in the market for one, then hang on a while as they often pop up for far cheaper.

This should really be the UK retail price with a full warranty, probably just about worthwhile taking the risk at this price when similar performance will cost you £500+ for a Samsung Galaxy S8. Not sure why it's been voted cold as the OP3 retailed at this price.
Not worth more than this price.
OP have inverted the screens causing a jelly effect, lovely.
911 issue( fixed aparrently )
Overheating
Misleading zoom camera spec, 1.6 and not 2x zoom.
The usual Bluetooth problems
No OIS
Mechanical like EIS
And the rest.
Great device
niko
Unfortunately these have issues in calling emergency services. Seems to reboot when you call you 911 or 999
That's been fixed. Allegedly
Should be 20% VAT, import duty and handling charge - if caught. Couple this with warranty issues and it's not a good deal. The phone itself seems to have a number of problems, some of which, like the 999 calls have or can be resolved buy firmware updates. However, others are hardware related - they have been forced to install the screen upside down which can create a strange ripple effect when scrolling. I think oneplus have a lemon here.

you can ring up, but the only way to engage the cancellation process is to send them a letter. The details are on the link to the 'cancel template'
Phone is often tempting though you'll quickly hit a brick wall as the CS staff have no idea about the T&Cs or the fact they constitute a legally binding contract(particularly when used to Vodafones disadvantage).

whats the best way to approach them about this

This looks interesting thanks but I'm thinking about Thailand (it's on your list) but I see little difference:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Current charges for using your phone while roamingRoam-further (Thailand):\x09£5 per day and then usage taken from your UK allowance,or as UK out-of-bundle charges if you exceed your UK allowanceReceiving a call (per minute):free\x09Send a pictureor video message(per message):45p------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Charges for using your phone while roaming from 5 August 2017:Roam-further (Thailand):\x09£5 per day and then usage taken from your UK allowance,or as UK out-of-bundle charges\x09Receiving a call *(per minute):freeSend a Picture or video message(per message)55p------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For those complaining saying Vodafone could offer to revert to other charging -too damn late. Once they issue the new contract that's the end of the matter.
so today you have the option to take the roam further, or to just pay-per-usage. So today, if you're a low user (1 SMS per day, or a quick call to check your hotel booking), you might pay £1-2 per day or you could opt to get your whole package for a fiver, in future you are forced to pay the £5 per day charge
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I know you are trying to help, guess they're not wanting it. :)

Nearly £900 for a refurbished LCD when you can have a brand new OLED for only £500 more and you get an extra 4 years warranty. I seriously don't get it.

Not saying this is a good deal but lol "only" £500 which is more than 50% cost of the original TV, not to mention the OLED TV you referring to is out of stock everywhere and 2017 model is triple that price. lastly its not like OLED is the best TV techs ever, it still have many disadvantage compare to LCD, its hard to justify the premium over LCD now

Got a link for the OLED?

There were loads of links for the OLED's around 2 week ago. Another should arrive sooner or later.

The EE 14.50 only goes up with RPI every year it's a great deal as its rolling. I'm hoping for a free double up to 64 after paying one year but that's at their discretion. I just want more data now
Every 5 months or so EE put the deal on here. It's due in august as the last one was march. I was on unlimited with three for a year till June that was 14 but the quidco took 6 months. Three played hardball last June so glad i overlapped it. The thing is I'm finding it hard to keep inside 32 my football streaming is high. Three know the sweet spot for unlimited data is 16 which is why it's so hard to get it. I thinking of paying a few weeks on a new three SIM and stepping up to it but i don't really want the money exposure on extra data that pushes me above my 16 limit for paying.incidentally I have successfully put a 200 minutes unlimited data three sim in a Sony xperia m4 aqua and the tethering didn't go down so i got effective one plan, that's why I'm wanting three again

You don't use the word 'upgrade'. Say you want to more data or mins and you're only looking to pay a pound or two extra. If you say you aren't happy they normally escalate as a complaint to another person who is able to give you further discount
I'm currently on the plan they offered me when they cancelled my One plan which is £16 for 4GB and 600 minutes. I didn't use the word upgrade but said I wanted to change my plan preferably to 30GB and 200 minutes for around £10 like I had seen others get. As my plan is currently £16 I don't want to pay extra but get it reduced. Any further advice is greatly appreciated.
If you are unhappy with the first advisor, they will put you through to someone from the complaints department who will probably give you at least £2 off your current plan. Then you can contact them again a week later and say you'll pay a pound more for the 30GB plan. I know it's not the best but at least you'll be on a decent plan for £15.
I think I've been given good deals as I was always offering to pay more than what I was on (started on a £9pm contract). From 4gb data and unlimited min @ £9pm I went to £10 for 8gb data then to £11 for 30gb data and 200mins and now on 30gb data and 600mins for £12.
100% the complaints department will give you a discount for the plan you're on. Or ask them to change the plan for you as they offered me what I'm currently on for £15 straight away before I negotiated it down.

Could you go from 30 to unlimited by saying 2 pound more and pay 14. Ive seen lots of people on 16 unlimited. Im happy with my 14.50 32 EE but if i could have a year with Three unlimited again for 15 id canx EE and take my chances. Unfortunately i dont have a Three data sim to go at and if i canx EE you can't get that back till the offer is on again

I'm not sure. I could try it I guess but I don't really want to spend anymore and 30GB is plenty for me.

You only get 30GB hotspot allowance on unlimited data though.

How did you get the £14.50 deal? And will the price go up at the end of the contract? My wife is currently on an old T-Mobile, £21 for unlimited data.

If you really MUST have the AE-1200 Octopussy-sort-of watch, there's a Black Resin strap (£15.11) and Stainless (£20.39) on Amazon Warehouse at the moment https://www.amazon.co.uk/Casio-Collection-Stainless-Bracelet-AE-1200WHD-1AVEF/dp/B0099M2IQY/ref=sr_1_1?m=A2OAJ7377F756P&s=warehouse-deals&ie=UTF8&qid=1500504262&sr=8-1&keywords=ae1200

I've bought a few watches from Warehouse as gifts and they've been better than described. Only one has been a complete turkey - DOA (it only cost just over £1!).

Edit: This is probably the sexiest AE-1200 mod on the entire thread (kudos to theretroshave @ watchuseek) - of course you could do this to the AE-1300 as well, if you're feeling adventurous :)http://forums.watchuseek.com/f71/digital-appreciation-bond-casio-ae1200-aka-casio-royale-939510-58.html#post43449050

Big Negative. Don't fall for this . You get pathetic speed with up to 60 Mbps. Real speed is very very slow and advanced LTE cat 16 features like carrier aggregation do not work.
You don't need Cat 16 to get good speeds. I often get 100+ and my phones only Cat 4.
It is in comparison with their fastest speed. It can never be more than 60Mbps as it is speed limited . Higher speeds are possible with Carrier Aggregation which does not work on this plan. When there are lots of users like in London , the speed fall is very dramatic. I have compared their full speed sim and the 60 mbps speed limited sim and came to this conclusion.

Which phone are you using?

What are people getting on retention? I was waiting for new iPhone but contracts will be a joke so i think i am going to do something like this then just buy a phone when im ready.
retention can give you something like 20GB data, u/l mins/text including EU for £15.
Did you try it? I did and they said no. I was only offered 20GB for £21 or extra 5GB if I sign up for Broadband.

Was that retentions or cs?

Sorry but there is little point in investing in 10.8v tools.
£20 more gets you an 18v LXT drill which fits in with the current Mikita range
find a 2nd hand charger and a Chinese clone battery, and you'll be much happier.
cordfree tools are a great investment, but not if you start buying into the domestic range, because you'll never get any 2nd hand trade tool
Where do you get the clone batteries? Are they just an Ebay job or is it something more like AliExpress?

I'd avoid the cheaper non-Makita batteries available on eBay etc, they don't last, your much better purchasing genuine LXT batteries.

As horsey says, look out for smaller Ah batteries, BL1815 (1.5Ah) and BL1820 (2.0Ah) can be had cheaply, and much better to have spares, 1.5/2.0 are ample for the basic tasks around the home, especially if you have a couple, lighter to use as well.

Look for a BL1820 2.0Ah,
that'll power most of the smaller 18v LXT drills
normally around £23 but I think I paid less.
Andy re: investment
I don't mean as a financial thing, but as sticking to one range of tools.
Say someone is doing a bit of DIY, they may well end up with a hammer drill, impact driver, multitool, jigsaw, circular saw.
Now you can go out and pick up whatever tat B&Q are offloading this week, or you can poke around eBay and pick up the Makita 18v cordless tools for around £40-60 each.
Tradespeople seem to offload their kit regularly, and being the pro range most of it is still fine to use if you don't mind a bit of scuffing.
So instead of having five different chargers and battery systems, or trying to track down a rare as hens teeth 10.8 battery for a Bosch tool, you can just have a box of BL1820's that fit everything you've got.
Makita also make the confusing G range which I think B&Q sell? but they require a similar looking but different 18v battery, which is a **** move by Makita I think

I point this out in power tool threads often, Makita LXT range is so vast I couldn't recommend it enough.

Re smaller Ah batteries, I also point this out to folks justifying paying extra for a 3/4/5.0Ah battery, for the average DIYer, several smaller Ah batteries, even 1.5Ah, is far better than the equivalent in 1 battery, much easier on the arm/wrist as its lighter and they have a spare(s) should one develop a fault, having a 5.0Ah battery is great but you need a backup should it develop a fault, opposite for tradesman of course as there looking for battery life first and foremost and any tradesman worth his salt will have multiple batteries.

Makita G range is a complete con, very clever marketing by akita in that your average Joe is duped into buying what he thinks is a trade rated power tool, when it is far from it, and spares are all but non-existent, no doubt they've gained extra sales BUT the flip side is they may just put folks off when the tool fails and a bare unit to replace it can't be had or same scenario for the battery when it fails.

I stand by what I said re the smaller 10.8/12v tools though, not if its your only tool, a combi would be better, but as an addition to a tool collection there great to have, great for tight spaces and small jobs.

I don't think there are many folk who see purchasing power tools as an 'investment'.

These little 10.8v drivers are great for tight spaces, ideal for kitchen fitters and flat pack furniture builders.

Agree with the other comment re 18v LXT range though, an 18v LXT (combi IMO) drill would be better if its your only power tool, as this isn't really a 'drill' per se, more a driver, but if your after a little driver for tight spaces, or drill lots of pilot holes, the 10.8v (and 12v) are a perfect addition to a tool collection.

how about this for £22 all inc?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142433526696?

It depends what your use will be, If you were drilling all day ni-cd batteries would be a nightmare, especially with the charge time. I have one similar to that and I don't use it...it works ok for very very light use but I got sick of spending more time charging it than using it.

I'd actually go further and say everyone should be wearing neutral trainers unless they have a very good reason not to. The research isn't that compelling (low numbers, limited follow up), but it seems to suggest that neutral shoes have the lowest injury risk (even lower than supposedly shoes matched to style). The theory here being compensating for poor form is not great, and it is better to try and improve their form by the feedback that running incorrectly gives.I got in to running because I tore my ACL making me reluctant to do other sports. My injuries have definitely gone down since changing away from supportive shoes - though running more helps, again by encouraging good form. The next step is to get the injury rate to zero, so I can have a go at getting the marathon time to a good one, not just a respectable one.
Have you try barefoot style running shoes? Took me a while to get used of them, but that's it, never go back to normal shoes...Feels like reinvent running, was sort of revelation for me.

Cold for amazons stupid pricing policy on clothing.. worst company in world for clothes / footwear
Wow, that's a really mature reason for voting cold on this particular deal. Well done you
Why??? amazon is stupid and no other shop would even try it
Explain size 10 is £36 but a 10.5 is £20. no sense whatsoever and just annoys people
You seem like a person who spends a good deal of time being annoyed.
I feel quite good about that

Maybe they have loads of 10.5 in stock and not many size 10. Pretty straight forward reason.
nowt to do with Amazon but if you do want them for running, would recommend running with a club or someone who has done a running course, and getting advice on running. Just changing your posture while running can change what is and isnt a decent trainer for you stop heel striking get your breathing better etc. Would agree with also going to a proper shop and trying them on a lot of brands have changed their fitting I have had Brooks GTS for quite a while, tried the latest ones - different fit much narrower, same for Adidas. Depends what you want your trainers for though. Just bought some Sketcher Forza 2017 Go Runs - wow like having trampolines attached to your foot !

Anyone know, how quickly it will start recording if set to motion detect, it needs to be under one second for me.
Quite useful if you can set it to automatically overwrite previous recordings (false postitives!) (as you can with some). You need a USB power supply and a suitable size microsd. Similar models are available directly from the Chinese sellers for less.

I have the Shield but also have the older none android Q10 and its been the best media player ive ever had, your voting down a box you know nothing about. The Q10 runs Android 7 and is the first Android box to be able to play full Bluray rips it also supports Dolby True-HD, Dolby True-HD ATMOS, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA, 5.1/7.1 LPCM, DTS, and Dolby Digital AC3 and i dont think the Shield supports DTSX. The Q10 is a way better media player than the Shield will ever be as it was designed solely for that purpose if your looking for a media streamer for Netflix 4K and the like the Shield is the way to go but most TV's have that all built in i know my B6 OLED does. The Q10 will play anything you throw at it and supports 10tb HDD's.

I already researched it, stopped when it didnt say Android TV and said Android, the OS designed to run on mobile phones not for TV,straight away limiting the 4K streaming capabilites.

Shield doesn't have the internal HDD storage expansion though and there are other ports that the shield lacks and my be of interest to audio/videophiles.

https://truckersmp.com/ Online mod very chill and admin kick griefers. You still do missions, but with other players
I tried the base game on a friends shared account and strangely loved such a waste of time of a game. But the online mod would only work with an owned copy. Bought this deal just to try the mp! Also got the Far East dlc
Does the SCS software bundle contain all the dlcs?
Superman_turbo_pro_3000
does it include cruise control?
Yeah, to enable it you just go to YouTube and type in "Euro Truck Simulator gameplay".

Yes it does for ETS2 certainly, can't remember if ETS1 has it.

Doh, bought one of these but instruction say max height is 700mm, this is 800mm will it be an issue?

I went for one half the size and double the price from Homebase....

Could you half bury that one in the ground if always BBQing in the same location?

Don't know yet, but any idea what difference it would make being higher? I looked at the smaller ones but. as you say £70! :(
Mine has been delivered!
