Which one do you have?
These ones

This is the Bluetooth controller I got

Edited By: MrDB on Jul 27, 2017 16:52: Edited from the official Android app
these arent very good
i bought the bobo z4 as recommended on here. it was a totally different experience.
i would recommend buy bobo z4 or dont bother with these

I have a pair of the £5.99 ones from Home Bargains. They work a treat and well worth the money. As with most of these though they tend to sit on the bridge of the nose and the hard plastic can really dig in after a while.
I'd also recommend buying a Bluetooth joystick/controller if you're going to using them often.

You can get one from Poundland? New to this and just after a cheap but decent headset for occasional use. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Poundland keep getting different models in for £4/5 you just have to hope your store has stock. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/vr-headset-4-poundland-2559104
and home bargains still have them at £5.99. Seen these this last weekend. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/vr-headset-599-home-bargains-2484946
and the mi ones you posted don't come with a head strap.
Thanks, mate. No BM around, but can always nip into a couple of Poundlands around.

Could be price-matched to the other supermarkets too with their price promise thingy. On the other hand, I don't like this one much.
I had this on a flight last year, quite possibly one of the worst champers I have ever tasted.

It could have been the altitude or storage but couldn't even finish off the smallish bottle I had.

Do it. Stockholm itself is a top place. The train north and the northern lights would just add to this amazing experience.
Didn't know there was an overnight train otherwise would have done myself. Instead, we are looking to do the northern lights another way.
Great find.
What do you like about Stockholm?
Mainly the blondes
I can promise you now that stereotype is massively exaggerated, they are mostly not blonde unless fake and certainly nothing special. Add their extremely materialistic and close minded outlook and I'm afraid you'll be very disappointed if that's your reason for going.
It was a joke, but yes they can be a bit up themselves. Although have got a bit a soft spot for the Norwegians.

3580 SEK £334.67 is a return ticket, any idea how much roughly a single ticket would be?

Half, same price each way so just half it.

Would appreciate anyone's advice who has got a transfer from the airport into stockholm itself - Is public transport sufficient or is it worth getting a taxi? TIA!

I used the Arlanda Express train (quick and easy) but there are buses too I think cheaper but slightly longer. Definitely do not need to pay for a taxi!

I love strong coffee I also got this for a £1 BUT I find that it is very weak, I assume it is meant as an iced summer drink

Standard medium (strength 3 to 4 I reckon) Arabica coffee, got this about 2 months ago and is a nice flavoured coffee. I use it in an express machine and it is fine, just do not expect the same kick/strength as a darker roasted express coffee.
Thanks very much gadget68 :D

The coffee looks to be a good deal but the other items on your receipt look expensive.
The Cotton Oval Pads are the large size ones, though this is just me trying a different brand "just because". The Aldi cotton pads are the best value of the lot and don't let off "fluff".

Carefree Panty Liners can be had about 15p cheaper from Savers but I'm not in the city centre like I usually am :p The Micellar Water is pretty generous at 200ml, though it's the Derma V10 brand, again, trying that as I haven't sampled it before. Poundworld also sells the Garnier Micellar Water which is 125ml, if I remember right.

Nice offer, but dont forget to factor in a training wheel if you dont have one already, or you're fond of replacing your rear tyre every couple of months.

I use a £10 Halfords turbo trainer tyre. Works nicely and doesn't seem to be wearing.
Nice offer, but dont forget to factor in a training wheel if you dont have one already, or you're fond of replacing your rear tyre every couple of months.
Very tempted to upgrade my cheap magnetic turbo for one of these, is this one a lot better than a magnetic one
A couple of people have asked how I use this trainer with Zwift. There are various ways of making non-smart trainers work with Zwift. First off you'll need a speed and cadence sensor for the bike. I use this one from Decathlon but there are a few. If I were buying now I'd probably buy the Wahoo speed and cadence sensor as they don't need magnets, but the Decathlon one works perfectly well and was cheap (<£15). Decathlon Speed and Cadence Sensor

Secondly you need a way of those sensors talking to the Zwift software on your pc/laptop/mac. Some people use an ANT+ USB dongle but a slightly less documented feature is that you can use the iOS Zwift mobile link app to act as a bridge between your bluetooth sensors and the Zwift software. Essentially, the sensors talk to the mobile app via Bluetooth and then the app relays that to the Zwift software over WiFi from your phone. Sounds complex but actually works very well and reliably. It's what I do.

And as Zwift has this trainer in its list of known trainers, it has a reliable power curve for it and can therefore estimate its wattage power output very accurately.

You can also link Bluetooth sensors direct to your iPhone/iPad and run Zwift directly on those devices but I have no experience of that.

Obviously in Zwift itself, when you reach a hill, the Zwift will automatically slow down your on-screen avatar based upon that incline, knowing the wattage you are outputting, so its quite realistic.

wHAT i do to get the best connex speeds is interpose a gigabit switch between the router and the rest of the network so that two devices on the network will achieve the best speed and not be limited by the router (BT homeHub4, so only fast 100Mbps ports, HH5 has gigabit ports) Switches are very inexpensive...
I'm sure someone could post a deal for an 8 port switch for thruppence(_;)
HammadKhalil
to steve_berzerker, you dont really get 1200mbps with a gigabit connection (usually as gigabit is 1000mbps. 1000mbps will be dependent on your router and if it supports it and keep in mind this is transfer rate not your download speed. example if you were transferring files between devices on your network then your transfer speed will be 1000mbps so copying a film or a 4k video should only take you a matter of seconds to download/copy rather than a few hours but this will depend on your operating system if it can support the transfer rate(usually older devices won't be able to).to slacker . Your connection should be faster as gigabit Ethernet connection will give you 1000mbps but this will depend on your router supports 1000base T which is a gigabit connection . if it doesn't then you will only get 100mbps connection so there would be no point . usually a spec list of your router should be able to tell you . usually it's listed as 10/100/1000 base t or something to that effect . if it has the 1000 listed then it supports gigabit connections.

I know. I was just generalising since the marketing PR's want to advertise these as 1200Mbps. It's essentially the same kind of PR stunt that internet providers pull where they offer speeds of 100MB+ and when you line test it, it's more like 60 or 70.
Any views on which brand is best? These are a good price atm but if willing to wait and compromise on pass through then they seem to be reduced a bit more at times.
Also that seems to be for zyxel... Are these more reliable?
I have had 2 pairs of these for quite a while now. Marketing numbers aside I get a perfect connection and they are life changing in comparison to Wifi. I thought I would also note if you have a spare router these can be used as a bridge to extend your range :D

sorry slacker misread no if you are using 200mbps to pair then no you will only get 200mbps you would need all 3 adapters to be a gigabit connection

These are really comfy but they only lasted a year having been used 4 or 5 times. They both snapped at the plastic joints.
Don't forget Quidco!!
Hmm I want one but may have to go on a diet first?!?
I wonder if the design flaw is unique to the eurohike ones.....I have the Gelert moon-chair, which looks similar, but is rated to 125kg. its been on loads of trips and is comfortable and easy to fold up (less than 2 secs).....
I have a couple of these, they're pretty sturdy and very comfortable. Negative points are: You get very warm sitting in these, it think they're best for Spring and Autumn use. They're a bit bulky and take up quite a bit more space than a 'normal' camping chair.

I always get my shirts from TM Lewin, I got for the extra fitted ones. However, I just bought 8 shirts from Hawes and Curtis for £162 - £20 amex rewards. The equivalent to TM Lewin was the extra slim fit.
Visited Hawes & Curtis in Stratford westfield last weekend and they had a 4 for £81 deal on and the quality is really nice, they have lots of shirts reduced to £20 now as well so its a good option if you want a high quality shirt

Don't buy anything other than non-iron from these guys. Terrible quality and practically unusable after the first wash.
Alright give an alternative.

Arrrgh, tape loading error!

That usually happened early on during loading. Worse was when after ten mins of loading, the tape got right to the end and it just stayed on the game pic, no actual game loaded. I still remember to this day Robocop being an absolute sod for that (fierce)

And allowed people like me to learn to code.
I tried several years ago to learn Java. The code made sense thanks to my ZX Spectrum days but writing and debugging on Notepad made it only available to a select dedicated few. I kept trying though and seriously put my mind to it 3 years ago. I still struggled, maybe because of spaghetti coding learned on a Spectrum but I've got there in the end by uploading last week my first app. It may not be anything special but it serves a purpose and for an old fart of 49 I'm happy and there's more on the way.
For anyone interested, forget Youtube for learning - there's just too much conflicting videos (there's more than 1 way to solve a problem). What done it for me was the free Udacity Course that broke down the link between Xml and Java. The Java bit was easy, putting it all together was a lot harder.

No point getting upset that the bar has been raised. The collaborations and freedom information derived by the internet has allowed us to move beyond localised groups. If anything opensource has sped up software development and have inspired new generation of coders to refine their art. Alot like the music industry where it used to be a closed off group the internet has given us youtube, bandcamp as such like so people are given a fair chance of fame ;)

If anyone wants to learn to code properly then the following resources are top quality >

FreeCodeCamp - https://www.freecodecamp.org/
TheOdinProject - https://www.theodinproject.com/
Coursera - https://www.coursera.org/
edX - https://www.edx.org/

There's no reason to pay to learn to code. That's just a small amount of resources I know.

If you absolutely want to learn to code properly then you need to be proficient in these two areas:

1. Algorithms
2. Data Structures

A huge amount of information regarding programming from absolute experts on the subject can be garnered from http://www.quora.com and to a lesser extent on Reddit.

Here's my tips >

1. Do NOT pay
2. Do it now
2a. Do it now, that's right today!
2b. Start right now today!
3. Do it
4. Do NOT wait
5. Do NOT stop when something is difficult, it will be difficult, sometimes very difficult, do not give up!

If you can pass the above then you'll succeed.

Leave your spectrum memories as they are, trying to recreate them will only disappoint, things have moved on far too much to get any lasting enjoyment from this unit
Nonsense. I still play Spectrum games almost every week, on various emulators. I don't know that playing them on this instead would make them any better, but to suggest they're no longer enjoyable games is simply not true. (And yes, I have consoles and a PC too.)

This indeed has been around the £70 mark a few times, and this is worth mentioning because the whole point is to get a good price.

I posted a deal a.couple of months back where it was only £65 @ John Lewis with a 2 year warranty.

I know that's then and this is now,but £99 isn't even near to that price,so I wouldn't say it's a very good deal.

I'd say if you are in the market for one, then hang on a while as they often pop up for far cheaper.

This should really be the UK retail price with a full warranty, probably just about worthwhile taking the risk at this price when similar performance will cost you £500+ for a Samsung Galaxy S8. Not sure why it's been voted cold as the OP3 retailed at this price.
Not worth more than this price.
OP have inverted the screens causing a jelly effect, lovely.
911 issue( fixed aparrently )
Overheating
Misleading zoom camera spec, 1.6 and not 2x zoom.
The usual Bluetooth problems
No OIS
Mechanical like EIS
And the rest.
Great device
niko
Unfortunately these have issues in calling emergency services. Seems to reboot when you call you 911 or 999
That's been fixed. Allegedly
Should be 20% VAT, import duty and handling charge - if caught. Couple this with warranty issues and it's not a good deal. The phone itself seems to have a number of problems, some of which, like the 999 calls have or can be resolved buy firmware updates. However, others are hardware related - they have been forced to install the screen upside down which can create a strange ripple effect when scrolling. I think oneplus have a lemon here.

Nearly £900 for a refurbished LCD when you can have a brand new OLED for only £500 more and you get an extra 4 years warranty. I seriously don't get it.

Not saying this is a good deal but lol "only" £500 which is more than 50% cost of the original TV, not to mention the OLED TV you referring to is out of stock everywhere and 2017 model is triple that price. lastly its not like OLED is the best TV techs ever, it still have many disadvantage compare to LCD, its hard to justify the premium over LCD now
