I don't wear watches.
People see Apple and automatically vote cold...and they're the ones who accuse Apple buyers of being sheep.

To be fair, this has been cheaper from currys in the past. I know, time machine etc.

That was the first gen watch, this is the series 1, with the upgraded processor.

The series 1 launched alongside the series 2 watch and is just as fast as it but the series 2 has additional waterproofing and a inbuilt GPS.

Ah yes, forgot the series 1 was actually the second version.

And yes, the price now is what matters.
I think the reason this is going cold , currys ebay were selling these £10 cheaper for Easter , but I toatally agree you can't jump in a time machine and you can't buy this anywhere cheaper right now so is a deal.

I bought a cooker from them recently £435,
The deal seems to be that you basically pay 25% of the cost per fix over the 10 year period.
So the current quote was £100 odd & I assume that it would go up with inflation like the price of the cooker over the 10 year period.
Don't know if the numbers are the same for other products.
Thanks. So potentially their standard price to fix could be 400% of what is the general market rate.
Shame they don't have as much confidence in their build quality as they appear to do in the parts.

Looking at Currys site, it's a condenser dryer. It doesn't have a fluff filter.
The overall energy performance is A+++
It has a 1 year labour guarantee and 10 years parts.
So what happens in year 2-9 when a part fails. Can I use a local independent repairer to inspect and replace a pet that the manufacturer will supply?

Yeah, pretty much 99% of washer dryers are condensers...including this one.

I guess the 10 year parts warranty involves you paying an engineer for their time to diagnose the fault? Someone with some experience may be able to help better than I can here.

Hot for me
I liked the march box :p

Tempted, although I just had a look at the contents of the March box , and wasn't too keen. They are sending out the April ones from 22nd of the month, so I might hold on ( if I remember ) . Heat given nice find.
I thought it was a good deal but the public doesn't like free? ( March was a bit rubbish to be honest)
Sometimes there's no logic to it, sometimes it gets a little chilly and then the freeze just continues . Don't let it put you off posting again though, at least you've taken it well ;) Could just be the name of the company mind you, every time I've seen it , I always wonder which marketing genius decided to call a food box a name which sounds like disgusting box when I read it in my head, although that could just be me ;)

I'm guessing they told the idea of the meme 'MeGusta' and just changed a letter? Don't have a clue. I would never remember them... and this site is a bit strange as the after Easter deals get really Hot but everyone knows everything goes half price after Easter? :) never mind. Better luck next time

This reviewer is commenting on the reformulated Nautica Voyage and gives it a glowing review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Vd-JZl0i3g and says it still lasts and lasts - up to ten hours, in his opinion.

(He says in the comments): "No I have the plastic cap. It performs great. I would like the metal cap but this is fine. I wish the companies wouldn't take away the great quality caps to there bottles."

The company themselves say, "...the switch from a metal cap to a plastic one was to save money. The formula wasn't changed according to the company that makes Nautica Voyage."

https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=170108 "I have both formulations.. old one with metal cap and the new one.. and they smell exactly the same.. and I still only use 1 spray cuz it's so flipping strong. seriously... max 2 sprays because you don't realize how strong it is."

That's a bit like, what's your favourite album? Purely subjective. I like it, I think it's quite a "safe" scent.
It's a bit like that yes, but the majority of people don't like the smell of poo, so that's a bad smell.

I would rate this hot but you have to bear in mind. And from my experience. Currys/PC World are not to be trusted. If it says open box then I certainly couldnt be sure that the item hasnt been activated with iCloud etc.

Then again you would be covered if you purchased through PayPal, for me im holding out at least for a couple of days lol. Maybe Argos or someone might pop up with a deal, or even Currys PCworld instore with the 10% off voucher I posted earlier
Hot because Apple. High resale value, great products. Yeah I'm a fan, iBoy or whatever you wanna call it
Cold from me because its Apple.

Because it's Apple I would assume, and not a Series 2

Still doesn't make a lot of sense as these are current gen watches at £50 off the RRP. Have some heat OP, for what it is worth.

I'd be interested in this due to the specs, but ASUS have big problems with bloatware, so the specs would be inevitably eaten up by ASUS crap... Gave heat because for the money it seems a good deal and for those who do the "rooting" thing it's probably even better, but I cannot do that stuff and because of the horrid crud I've had from ASUS I'll pass on this, heat anyways

I hear your predicament there, hmmmmmmmmmm, but fair enough still?.

Thanx for the heat + the feedback anyway.

All the best in your Mobile Phone endeavours though?. :-)

@abdi12346 - I suggest that you change the subject to Christopher Ward Half Price Sale with the Quartz C3 as an example.
Personally speaking, I'd love an automatic C8 Flyer or a C9 5 Day (if only I had the pennies).
Good find.

Got one the other day for the lower price on Amazon. Updated it as per the advice and it went all the way to the anniversary update which promptly lost the network adapter. Tried new drivers chipset and realtek but no joy so have rolled the op sys back.

Which has now restored the network adapter....

Beware and don't update all the way to anniversary till they have the fix.
There's one on Amazon. 64.99 refurbished.

Ah, just seen the comment about them being on ebay.

Are these actually any good with game streaming like all the advertising fath suggests?

These are great tablets.
I managed to run mirrors edge 1 directly on the tablet via steam (installed to the tablet). Was around 34fps at high graphics if I recall.

The tablet kept crashing if I threw too much at it, so I ended up selling.

But for £70, I would consider this again. Should run the ps4 remote play desktop app as well.

Thanks mate.
This compares very well with the Nintendo Switch as a portable gaming device yet is about the same cost as the Switch pro controller on its own. More cpu processing power and a lot longer battery life. May even be possible to emulate up to Gamecube or even wii level if you want the Nintendo game experiences.

GPU a lot weaker though about 90 gflops vs about 150 or 200 gflops in Switch portable mode. This sits between Vita and Switch in gpu performance terms.

Usually quick delivery from Hong Kong, and EGC say they cover the import VAT (although not clear if that is a true or colourful statement).
The two phones I bought from them came directly with no VAT to pay.
I suspect my original comment was not clear. Maybe rephrase: EGC say they cover the import VAT, but what happens on the occasion when VAT and handling fee is (erroneously?) charged? EGC makes an unusual statement at 17.2 of its t&c that suggests EGC acknowledge that some customers may pay what it describes as "custom related fees", but there is no indication of the mechanism to recover those fees:
"17.2 After 3 month of receiving the goods and clearing customs, eGlobal Central will not be held responsible for any custom related fees."
https://www.eglobalcentral.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.html
Worth mentioning that I have bought a couple of £300+ items from EGC without issue and without any additional VAT / import fees, but I have had no requirement to test the efficiency of any warranty requirement.

Review of the 500gb HD version below. Great specs on paper but doesnt really get a lot of love. On the other hand, you get a lot for the money. And then again, whoever thought those stripes across the wrist area was a good idea wants shooting.

What do you think of the screen? Good viewing angles?
Great from all angles, the dell was a 15" and unless you were right in front you could not view it
Do they have it on display? I was going to make the plunge on the HP Omen which has incredible specs for the price but a pee-poor screen
Just how bad is the omen screen meant to be ? I know it's a "gaming" laptop but doesn't it have a IPS at least ? I'm disappointed it's all plastic :(
You can watch reviews on YouTube and Google the reviews, it seems like a common theme that many gaming laptops skimp on the screen and put all the money into the specs. I'm tempted to get the Omen then a secondary screen, but then there's the Dell XPS 15... My budget just keeps going up and up and up, originally it was £400 D':
Yeah I can see why. I have no intention of gaming but want something more for multi tasking video/photo ect with the standard bases of SSD and FHD screen but its settling on a budget-spec ratio as well as not pointless buying stuff I'd never need.:|
I didn't get a sign that anyone had replied... Thanks

There are a lot of miserable people on HUKD.
They are trolls, just here to wind people up. Sadly the HUKD admin/mod team can't find their **** with both hands so cracking down on trolling is an impossible task for them.
Voting cold is not trolling.
I think you do not understand what trolling is.
People with different opinions to you are not trolls.

You missed the point a bit there. I wasn't talking about the cold voting, I was talking about the general miserable and rude attitude a lot of people express. A lot of it aimed at other people who have done nothing wrong.

You can have a differing opinion to someone else, but you can have the decency to be polite about it. There are some repeat offenders too, sometimes to the point where you think there might actually be something wrong with them. You have to consider if the community would be better off without them, or even better if HUKD would implement disliking/downvoting comments.

That is still not trolling, trolling has nothing to do with opinion.

If someone disagrees and is rude about it, they are just rude.

Realistically this is just feel good fodder for everyone and or a marketing ploy for the company, and also a karma grab for OP.

Let change our avatars whilst were at it to something related, may just fix some of this ****......

Would love the benefits the Police get and not forgetting a very generous pension.
Go on then, elaborate.......
Try being a self employed sub contract bricklayer. Nothing provided. Run a car all over the country at your own expense, have no income when raining or sites are shut for holidays. Any illness keeping me off work meant no pennies what so ever. Buying tools and work clothing at own expense. Even a helmet! No pension or holiday for us. You don't appreciate how lucky you are.
Have you tried being a cop?

Try being a robocop - the treatment that guy received was appalling. <3
It's just our rather sad society today who will put distasteful and ignorant comments about this. Virgin want to do it for the Police and good for them. Maybe it'll spur the other train companies to do the same. Not just for Police but others who die serving their country in different jobs. Shouldn't we be united?

There are good and bad Police officers, Army, Paramedics etc etc. By all accounts this bobby was one of the better ones, so let's support him and his family for his (ultimate) sacrifice.

Just let it go and say thanks Virgin.
abwood
I think some people are missing the point and some are making disrespectful comments which is not what this site is about.
I'm sure Keiths children would have loved for their dad to walk back through the door after his shift ended, but he didn't. He won't be the first or the last Police Officer, servicewoman or serviceman or adult or child that went out to one day and didn't come back. Their families can never say goodbye and this isn't a competition as to who has it the hardest, so let's be respectful and remember what this site is for.
Yes this is a bargain/deal website, not a cheese fest.

free Helmet free suit free car and now free train travel WTF? Check out the comments on the discounted rail cards offer. My disabled card costs £20 and people on here described it as a benefit. Would love the benefits the Police get and not forgetting a very generous pension.
The police contribute up to 14.25% of their salary for 30 years in order to buy that pension. In contrast, MP's get a much better pension for serving just one term as an MP and it's non-contributory. Civil servants contribute a lot less (or nothing) for their pensions. Do you contribute 14.25% for your pension?

don't contribute then, opt out from Police pension and get a private one!

A facile comment which underlines your thoughts.

Could someone enlighten me. Why is he wearing a silver necklace?https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81GbxvC7fNL._SL1500_.jpg
Yes, easy, its the chain that is meant to attach to his cape, over the years it has been both black or silver.
The chain should be very short, so much so that you have to actually look for it to see it especially when its black (i couldnt tell you for definate which film its black in but I'm pretty sure its not 4,5, or 6).
This figures chain is insanely over sized and wrong.
I believe this figure is from the era when he was a in gang, going up and down the streets causing trouble and being a hooligan

After getting burnt pretty bad by this "once a day" formula despite following the instructions id be very careful when considering if once a day works for you

I have to say my family has used this suntan lotion for the past 5+ years in the US and Spain and it has been the best suntan lotion we have ever used.

My Son has sensitive skin and we had used other 'once a day' suntan lotions and all brought him out in a rash, we use the SPF 30 for my Son and he is in and out of the pool all day long and never had a single issue or burn and we only apply once a day, its great stuff and could not recommend it highly enough.

I guess one size doesn't fit all but from someone who has a family member with sensitive skin I could not recommend this product highly enough.

Not sure how good this deal is though as we only ever buy the large SPF30 bottles which is enough for the four of us over a week and more.

I own one, bought it from John lewis. It went wrong after 6 weeks, JL sent it to Microsoft for repairs and they sent me a refurb In the old box I sent it in so serial numbers don't match with box. Now in talks with John Lewis to give me a brand new unit.
What was wrong with your unit?
Good luck with getting a new replacement
The error was something like unable to locate boot drive. So I went to install Windows from fresh but it couldn't see the ssd at all.
This happened while just browsing the web, then it froze and ended in a boot loop.
Replacement took 3 weeks. That works fine but it has marks on the casing near the charging port and some backlight bleed that my original unit did not have.
Not happy as I bought the laptop and at the end of January 2017. I should have been given a brand new replacement if my original unit could not have been repaired.
Do you think I'm being unreasonable ?

I think its reasonable to ask, hope you get the replacement
