sounds like a load of A! I need to buy players to play that mode? Not sure I'm down with that. sorry kids, Dad says NO! £40 for a game alone is enough to spend.

its in game money you don't need real money

It's like Match Attax but you get to play with the players on the game. If people can justify spending upwards of £100 over a year trying to complete the folder I'd rather buy packs and enjoy playing them then trying to make swaps..
Each to their own though..
Best feature in FIFA. I would buy it if it was a standalone game..

I try and use incognito mode on browsers nowadays to prevent this as some retailers are better than others.

OP thanks for this - I actually bought two pairs of work trousers yesterday (due to pick them up later).

Managed to buy the same two pairs for a tenner less today, so will be taking those I collect today back for a refund and pocket the difference when I get the duplicate cheaper pair tomorrow. Hassle, but ten pound is ten pound! (_;)

Let's think about it...on this single Din head unit you get thousands of Internet stations but how the hell are you going to find the station you like on a poxy screen like that? It'll take you hours.

Alpine fan all the way it's just the double dins could be so much better.
I think you will find that Alpine make better headsets than Sony ever will.
other than internet radio, this doesnt really compare for the extra £30-40 compared to a sony?
No idea why this is being voted cold.

Not many about and 2 have just sold on Ebay for £190 each.

Right I have Amazon Prime which gives me access to Amazon Instant Video but the problem is that it does not work over 3G.

How does this work for travelling away? I would like to hook it up to my phone and have it repeat the signal as WiFi so that my iPad can then connect.

Can this be done? How does it work in travel mode?

Check out the video review or the instructions for use provided in the post above.
In short, this transmits/boosts signal from an ADSL line, such as in a Hotel (cabled room) or extends an existing wifi router,
although I want to see if I could hook of a hard drive, and share that via wifi.

Can you not set your phone to 'Hotspot' mode, and tether to your iPad that way?
Or just get Netflix :)

If you use Firefox as your browser you could add the Flagfox extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flagfox/) which not only shows a small flag showing you where the website your viewing is located (a useful security tool - if your bank website is showing a Nigerian flag you might just be wary), but it also links to other useful tools such as 'Down for Everyone or Just Me?'

If you mean this:
https://www.imagineshop.co.uk/dvds/retro-emag-vol-123.html

That's not Retro Gamer magazine. That's the first three of the Retro bookazines they also do (content from the Retro section of Games TM) in digital format. So only just over 700 pages in total, and actually not that far off what they cost in paper format when they came out.

Thanks - I had actually thought it was Retro Gamer magazine. Saved me £19 - cheers
Also worth pointing out the Web Designer ones are unfortunately likely to be horrifically out of date.
Volume one contains 21 issues, and volume two contains twelve - finishing at issue 148.
They're now at issue 212, so the newest issue on the discs in this deal is about five years old.

(the current issue - https://www.imagineshop.co.uk/magazines/webdesigner/web-designer-issue-212.html)

Just a kindly notice, this hosting provider is worse than 000webhost (which is totally free, 1.5GB storage, 100GB bandwidth/mth)

This 100MB and 1GB reminds me 10 years ago, looks a bit hilarious now
Very true davelangston, not really an appropriate package for any massive websites but hey, for £1 it's not too bad :)

Here's some info from the promotion email I received:

For the month of August only, we are offering a huge discount on our entry level ‘Web Presence’ packages which you can purchase for just £1+VAT for a years hosting! This offer is limited to new hosting accounts only and is for both existing and new customers, therefore if you know someone who needs a website or would benefit from our lower pricing and high speed infrastructure, this is an ideal opportunity for them to switch. Alternatively, if you’ve been thinking about moving an account to us then this makes it extremely cheap to do so. We still offer our account migration assistance service with this, helping you to transfer accounts over to our servers as smoothly as possible.

To make use of this promotion, please use the special offer code ONEPOUND in the shopping cart.

Edited By: Ryan_ on Aug 07, 2013 09:22: Thought I'd include the migration comment.
Apologies, guys. As stated by ando, you need to use the promo code 'ONEPOUND' (Forgot to include and then couldn't edit the post whilst it was in for review - Updating this now)

This is quite a good mouse. Bought it in Tesco about 2 years ago for £15 if i remember right
I was in PC World and tested about 12 devices. Trackballs, wireless mouses, optical, laser, infra-red and blue-tooth controlled. I wanted to have fast, light and precise pointing device with decent or very good quality, preferably Logitech or Microsoft. For wireless, laser, good quality mouse I got to pay 50+.
For Logitech LS1 paid 9 quid, so the choice was very simple. That product got my honest recommendation. Of course you can have hi-end, gaming mouse for 100+, but mine still going to be faster and much less tiring for my wrist.

K9 is very useful, especially for networks where you can't use OpenDNS.
I have OpenDNS primary and secondary DNS servers configured on my router and in addition K9 on the kids PC.

It works a treat for our ever growing list of technology what with PC's iPhones, iPad's, game consoles and now our TV all with internet access!

I suppose buffering may also depend on your WiFi strength, but mine has only had to buffer maybe twice, and then only momentarily. It doesn't lose connection. As for ugly, well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I decided to get my radio, the one thing I didn't want was a boring bland box. This is beautiful, well crafted with high quality materials and components. Try to see one working, the cool whiteish display (dimmable) really complements the metal and retro wood. I love my airstream.

But muddy sound quality (As whathifi specifies).

Get something like a "Sonic Impact T-Amp" and a cheap streamer without amp or ipod touch / archos pmp.

Read this : http://www.tnt-audio.com/ampli/t-amp_e.html

For the price there is no reason to not have one of them.

Good luck finding a Sonic Impact T-amp, Tripath went out of business in 2007
(but the chips on offer now still seem to be orginial ones. suplus stock? chinese clones?)

Anything with the Monster name will cost 3 times what it is worth.

Misread it. The fact is the stuff I have with the T-Amp sounds better than my parents £1500 Boe.

(Even though I recommended them to get a Meridian F1 at the time for about the same price).

Shame this is the version without DAB :-(

Why would you want DAB when it has internet radio; just for areas with no wi-fi? I personally find DAB a waste of space...

I bought into the DAB revolution

A decade on, and my 4 DABs are gathering dust. A HUGE let down. Promised so much, yet failed to deliver.

Why would people leave such good reviews if the service was no good? Go rant somewhere else unless you can back up your argument with facts.

You want the facts?

Can they offer unlimited storage: no
Can they offer unlimited bandwidth: no

Then there's the maths:
Assuming a server that's good for 3 years costs them £1000, plus the power costs of keeping it going 24/7, plus the cost of keeping it in a cooled data centre, plus the costs of hiring server admins and engineers. How many websites would have to be hosted on that single server at £3 a month for it to be profitable?

Why do they get so many great reviews? Because they're cheap. People see it costs 1/3rd the cost of other ISPs, they put a website on it, get all pleased that they've created a website, write a review a week later, long before performance and reliability issues become apparent or that they get chucked off because they had the audicity to create a website with a forum.

Ask anyone who's knowledgeable about webhosting, they will always tell you to avoid any ISP promising unlimited space and bandwidth. Here's a blog entry that goes into more detail. Do a search on google about unlimited hosts, you will find endless numbers of sites telling you how bad they are.

http://www.lexiconn.com/blog/2010/05/15-reasons-to-avoid-unlimited-web-hosting/
Misprice.

Supporters of SOPA. Why did they support SOPA? The plan was that the RIAA would go around shutting down domains left right and center and would then give them to godaddy to do as they wish.
Not as bad as they were. Really have to watch those repeat charges like a hawk with Godaddy- that's where they make the money. But then, where else can you register a 10yr .com domain for 20 quid?
Use it only if you want them to shut down your site without any notice (goole "jotforms godaddy").

They'll probably start sending TSA officials to check on everyone buying a domain...
Terrible company, avoid at all costs.
they used to be pretty alright until sopa. now I don't trust them anymore.

One for the tech-heads. This is an amazing offer which seems too good to be true. But a few colleagues and I have been combing through the fine print and have found no catches, so why not bag yourself…

such as using steam dedicated server program (e.g. Left 4 dead 2)

Thanks, :)

why people voting this cold is beyond me... It is fantastic deal if you want a Dedi Server for a month to test drive for 1p!! As no minimum contract means you can cancel it after first month!

What are these used for? is it like a place to back up files and such or is it a server as in a video game or web site server? What ever it is for a penny I think its hot.

In the Web hosting business, a dedicated server refers to the rental and exclusive use of a computer that includes a Web server, related software, and connection to the Internet, housed in the Web hosting company's premises. A dedicated server is usually needed for a Web site (or set of related company sites) that may develop a considerable amount of traffic - for example, a site that must handle up to 35 million hits a day. The server can usually be configured and operated remotely from the client company. Web hosting companies claim that the use of a dedicated server on their premises saves router, Internet connection, security system, and network administration costs.

In renting a dedicated server, the client company may be required to use a specified computer system or may be offered a choice of several systems. Some host providers allow a client company to purchase and install its own computer server at the host provider's location, a service known as colocation.

Typically, a dedicated server is rented that provides a stated amount of memory, hard disk space, and bandwidth ( here meaning the number of gigabytes of data that can be delivered each month). Some hosting companies allow the renter of a dedicated server to do virtual hosting, in turn renting services on the server to third parties for their Web sites. Domain name system, e-mail, and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) capabilities are typically included and some companies provide an easy-to-use control interface.

I got this phone for £89 on 18 month contract £19.50 a monthly, with 500 mins 1000 text and 1gb internet. Got the deal bout a month ago. So prices should be coming down - not going up

Good phone, but just too big in the hand,my thumb couldn't reach all the way across the screen, so two hands needed at times - Just my opinion

Sounds like a cracking deal i think an 18 month is a decent length of time its not like this phone will be out of date by then anyway. Id take a cheap 24month contract but not £30 a month its too much.

yeah this phone seems to still be at a high cost. Its not really cheaper to buy it sim free and get a sim only deal either. Im fed up waiting but i have no choice im not paying £30 a month for this phone just to get decent internet and a decent amount of call time. Id honestly rather have less texts and more mins.

Playing the waiting game here.
@treab

I logged in just to LOL at that haha well done my friend, well done :D

At least with a 12 month contract you don't get stuck with a phone like this for too long

ahh horace
