I had the same problem until I created a .bat file in notepad to ping the router constantly. To do this open notepad and type (without quotations) "ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -t" and replace the x's with your router IP address. Then click save as and click all files and call it "ping.bat".
Then to run this you will need to right click run as administrator.
To save the hassle of opening ping.bat each day I created a task scheduler to start ping.bat with administrator privileges whenever I turn my PC on. I hope this helps!

Cheers for that! Both useful and educational. I didn't realise making .bat files was so easy. Haven't touched one since hacking autoexec.bat on a 386 back in the day to get X-wing to work!

I've had Powerlines for years, and got these a month ago.

In common with my previous units (a Belkin and a TRENDnet), they occasionally lose connection in my flat - random dropouts that will either fix themselves after a minute or two, or requires one or both units to be power cycled.

These dropped out two or 3 times a day. However, running a continuous ping in the background fixes the issue - no dropouts since I started the ping 3 weeks or so ago.

Good 'standard' price, just 40p more than I paid from Flubit last month...

I seem to be experiencing the same brief random dropouts with mine (but they're great otherwise). Could you explain how to run a continuous ping?

I have 5 of these. They are perfect. Unlike others these Work through extention leads too.
Are these any less safer to use if plugged into an extension lead?
They have to be plugged directly in to the mains socket as extension leads add some sort of an interference.

EDIT: You can get the ones with a pass through if there isn't a spare socket available and then plug your extension lead into that.

I got mine the other day and I'm very happy, they're very lightweight and comfy, don't clamp my head as much as the DT990s.
Soundstage is amazing, music sounds very spacious and organised. Bass is plentiful and controlled, obviously less prominent than on the DT990s but just as pleasing. I was listening to some of the Lord of the rings tracks by Howard Shore and they sounded fantastic.
They also sound great for films, had a watch of Transformers Age of Extinction which was really fun, all the explosions and gunfire sound like you're in it!
Just got mine today. WOW! amazing, the most balanced headphones I've ever heard. I don't get people claiming the lack of bass. It's definitely there and it's controlled so it doesn't sound muffled like it's being played through the wall. The soundstage is top notch. Watched a few ASMR videos on youtube and it really felt like the sounds were present in the room.

The only 2 drawbacks were zero isolation (would sacrifice sound quality) and the cable being too long and clunky having to use the 3.5mm adapter. It would have been nice for Sennheiser to bundle a carrying bag at least.

things to note
- this is ideal for home / quiet environment use, there is no isolation and lots of noise leakage.
- not a V-shaped signature so no ideal for people who like lots of bass.

for the price it is a steal, I bought mine around 4 years ago and must say its absolutely comfortable to wear and sound amazing, its not closed so sound leaks loud outside, but who cares when you're at enjoying some music / movie.
One thing i had to do though was to order a custom 1.2m 3.5mm cable from an online cable shop, the cable came with the headphone is too clunky with the adapter.
My parents just ordered me a pair as my birthday present! Yipee!

I can confirm this is a very good mouse, better even than other more expensive gaming mice. Good sensor, nice shape, great switches (even though a little bit hard) and great feet. Also, it is pretty basic (no side buttons, adjustable weight etc) which, suppose surprise, is a good thing for a gaming mouse.

Thanks for the review deadlock, Im at odds over whether to try a vertical mouse but cant bring myself to invest the £70 of the evolant wireless vertical. Will give this a go.
I've had the wireless version of this mouse for a year. It takes some getting used to and I knocked it over a lot at the start (it's very light), but it greatly reduced the strain on my forearms and wrists. They're also a lot cheaper than other ergonomic mice, so I can have one at home and one at the office. I can certainly recommend them, but I definitely paid less for mine through Amazon.

Which is better the USB or standard audio connecter?
It's down to how good the sound card on your pc/laptop is. If you're using the one built into the motherboard a usb one is better.

Not always. Some manufacturers, particularly ASUS, implement very good onboard audio to necessitate the need for extra PCI or USB sound cards.

Saying that, I'd personally always go USB anyway as it's a lot more flexible.

Exactly, also you are always better off going for a separate DAC over a sound card, will always perform better. Sound cards don't improve much over on-board solutions, its mainly perceived as sounding better because it is louder due to the amp.

In the case of gaming this headset and USB sound card will be fine.

My son recently got a Gamecube controller to USB adaptor so he can use his old controllers on his PC.
Can only use this to play games that support classic Nintendo Virtual Console games. So not much useful for most new games specifically designed for the Wii.

Only decent ones are those Japanese White ones but they are £35 new on Amazon. It is not really worth it unless you want it to play Gamecube games.

I got one of those fakes that looks like a real one on Ebay for like a fiver new and it felt almost as good as a real one and most people would notice no difference
Only decent ones are those Japanese White ones but they are £35 new on Amazon. It is not really worth it unless you want it to play Gamecube games.

(I got one second hand one listed as used - very good that was in my opinion totally unacceptable - and it was from a big seller).

For other than n64 virtual console you are better off with a classic controller or classic controller pro. (Easiest is to the pro brand new from Amazon).

There again there is hardly any 60hz games that are not TG16 (Which doesn't even need one).
Been looking for one for the Wii. Cheers.

I was in PC World and tested about 12 devices. Trackballs, wireless mouses, optical, laser, infra-red and blue-tooth controlled. I wanted to have fast, light and precise pointing device with decent or very good quality, preferably Logitech or Microsoft. For wireless, laser, good quality mouse I got to pay 50+.
For Logitech LS1 paid 9 quid, so the choice was very simple. That product got my honest recommendation. Of course you can have hi-end, gaming mouse for 100+, but mine still going to be faster and much less tiring for my wrist.

Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 £4.98 at Morrisons

These wired USB keyboards are normally £10 - £15. I've been using one for years at work and it's great - very nice laptop-style feel and travel, quiet, and the curve works well without being too i…

I too have a Microsoft Natural 4000 and love it. I have used the "Curve" but really do not like it. Its uncomfortable.
Also, the key layout ....well .....pathetic as maybe, seems to mock my typing with a big Qwerty smile, or maybe a smirk.

But for the price - Heat added

Just be careful guys - known fault for this make as some keys wont operate at random times...
What?? I've used one all day every day for years and still not one single problem, no probs with any other Microsoft keyboards either. What's your source?

The company I work for outfit all their staff with this keyboard, and we only get the odd wear and tear defect or keys worn out problems. I'm using one right now, which I've had for almost 4 years, and put in the dishwasher a few times, and it works glitch free. Only wish MS continued making these.

I would say the same. I've had mine for what must be at least 5 years and in the past month a few of the keys stop working occasionally, might just need a clean, but for now just tapping on the back seems to fix the problem.

Great keyboard though, will be getting another if this one fails.

Sadly I took mine apart and it was the actual contact for the key, Luckily it has 2 ALT keys or I wouldn't be able to log in!

I'm using the 4000. It's good, clunky but good.

I have this controller, its good, however the sticks are very hard to move, what makes the sensibility in games like call of duty a problem.
Usb connection whit android otg doesn't work, the lights flash but its all...
Sorry for my english.
seems cheap for a spare pad, maybe i'm wrong ?!
The fake dual shock ones are on for £11 at focal price...wonder which are better though?

Yep, I own one of those. Not upto the standards of the official pads obviously and they smell funny but ideal to make up a spare 3rd/4th pad.

Probably best to not insert the controller up your bum then

Maybe grow up a bit eh? wearing batman and superman PJs is one thing lol X) but trolling comments like that is what wains do.
Pretty rubbish considering you can buy a dualshock for £10-13 brand new

Im thinking your best bet with all the logitech errors now is to order and not post them as you may get lucky and get the items rather than them getting spanked and not get anything. Ive ordered 3 things off diff sites and had confirmation for all 3 so fingers crossed.

Thanks for taking from this site - and not giving anything back - I do hope you feel good.

I agree with Cuki. Deals like this that get shared never end up being honoured as too many people order 10 hoping to make a quick eBay profit etc

Haaaaa, So where do you draw the line??? At the end of the day... You browse the web, Find your price and order!!! That's what they want us to do..

I didn't realize in order to post a deal you have to be a retail market specialist!!!

thanks OP. I noticed that play had two sellers selling the Headset G930. I order one from each of them and now says processing in warehouse. Keeping my fingers crossed, they're back up to £118 now.

Cold - its the normal flipping price (paid £42.99 over a year ago) - people just voting hot cause they don't know about pc gaming gear -_- *sigh* awesome mouse, great design, the software is easy to use too to customise the colours and sensitivity settings. Needs a good mousemat to accompany it properly and get you fragging noobs left right and centre ;) (I'm a CS player on pc!) as mentioned before though a quite irritating fault with the mouse wheel, it's extremely common to be honest, both of mine have decided to stop functioning properly. Definitely worth the money though if you're into your gaming, just cold for my own opinion about this "deal" (also seeing as people voted cold on my thread for GTA5 for being "normal priced")

I have a feeling you are thinking of the Kova mouse and not the Kone.
Looks very cool but is this really good for lefty's ?
I have a Kone (not +) and it's great so you can assume that this version is probably even better! Good price.

Great price, I'd never buy wireless, wired is reliable, but decided against this because it's a weird compact thing with less keys than a normal size keyboard.
Pretty nice keyboard, but I don't think I will be buying wired (ever) again...

Agree with Chinny_racoon, Microsoft and Logitech make much better mice than Apple, whose mice are on a par with their headphones. The rule seems to be that you can either make good operating systems or good mice, but not both. Good deal for the price, though.
Seems a bit pricey for a standard computer mouse
You can get a Microsoft or Logitech mouse for this much, All USB mice work fine with macs.
