Thanks for this :) Never used them either, so feedback would be good.

They seem fairly expensive too, even with the discount.

Shocking service!....after waiting weeks and weeks I had to cancel an order with them.....had 3 orders, 2 cancelled the last one waiting for an age.

Would not use this company again, never had one successful order with them!

Was told it was a problem with the supplier, well, I guess they should change their supplier then!

See these threads :

People like you make me mad, you shouldent be voting cold because they arnt a good website.

You should be voting on whether you think this discount is good or not.

Yes, but you have to understand that this discount is not good and worth the savings if Taxfreeshopping are not a decent business, which in mine and many others eyes they are not. I never made any point about them not being a good website so why are you mad (the website itself is laid out averagely?!)

They have clearly admitted to myself they have supplier issues. If you consider either your order being cancelled and/or a long wait (I was waiting two months, then gave them a final ultimatum of one more week else I would be cancelling my order) is worth a £1.50 saving then fine.

As good a find as it might be, please understand the reasonings of those that vote it cold, there is justification behind it.

Unless anyone can tell me that Taxfreeshopping have now changed supplier and are now an excellent internet retailer, I am staying well clear and only advising others of the poor service.

Just the same as when I once posted a CDWow deal during their administration it too was voted cold...now they are not in administration and once again are providing better service, I didn't get p*ssy with those voting that cold. Grow up.

I get tired of these threads when you offer people advice on bad retailers to then be flamed for voting deals cold with valid justifications.

Excuse me? I was simply saying that people who vote cold on the websites actions make me mad. It's got nothing to do with you.

Understandable cicobuff, i'll try and stay clear of posting deals for TaxFreeShopping.

;-)

Sorry if i offended you.

Yes, I know what you were simply saying, and I was simply saying it's rubbish.

£1.50 off something you're never going to get is not a "hot deal", notice the name in the website?
#18
Anybody placed a 'regular' order rather than just chasing a misprice?

Thanks for the apology, you didnt offend me but appreciated, I just get tired of people criticising those of us with experience that want to help others in voting things cold with justifications from past experience, yours included here, lets just forget about it :)

I think that as someone else suggested a retailer thread would be brilliant on this forum for consumer opinions.

Yes after the Cinderella mess up, when they had it at their "regular" price, I ordered it again, after two months of being sick to death of waiting, phoning them up, being told it would be in within the next 5 days...then the next 5 days etc etc. I gave the customer services guy Tom a final ultimatum of one more week and if then it still hadnt come from the supplier then I would cancel my order.

It didn't, he was apologetic and admitted basically that they have no end of problems with the supplier.

I suggested that he gets the MD to look into changing the supplier, and clearly I would not be ordering from them again, or recommending them to anyone else...not his fault but clearly the muppets that run Taxfreeshopping.

Why? If they dont send the goods out the "discount" is zero.

Stop taking it so personally.

That's good to know cicobuff - I put an order in for a Limited edition cd that I knew was out of print but they were advertising as available. Sort of hoped that they had some stock hanging around but after a few weeks it became obvious they didn't have it and I called it a day.

Makes you wonder how these guys make a living

I actually made that point to the Customer Services guy, and wished him (not the company) all the best for the future, and basically if he valued his job there then to get onto the MD about supplier problems!

I really would like to see some smaller e-tailers have success against some of the big ones, sadly if things continue like they do at Taxfreeshopping, I can't see how on earth they can be trading for much longer.

Anyone else reading this thread that would care to comment if they have had good service from Taxfreeshopping e.g a completed order? lol

this company is the ABSOLUTE PITTS, they must be one of the worst companys on the net . they hav hardly any if zero stock , they keep u waiting weeks for a delivery and they hav the most abysmal customerservice.
my wxperience with them is horrendous, i ordered the cinderella dvd - waited ten days then got a cancelation ( fuming)
a few weeks later i ordered a james cagney boxset- exactly the same scenario , waited over a week then got a cancellation( fuming mad)
then two weeks ago like a MUG i ordered with them again( genuine full priced dvds)on 2 separate orders.
i havnt recived a dam thing from them - they are absolutely useless"!!!!!
my account shows them as order being processed on both my orders
i emailed them TWICE last week why the huge delay and poor cc as they should inform there customers of any problems - but true to there nature they have ignored both my emails.
gives me the impression they run there company from a back room with zero stock and there always down the pub!!!!
DONT USE THEM- unless you like waiting weeks for an order, get lied too . get no cutomer care and get zero emails on progress of your order
there just a total bunch of muppets and i know its cruel to say but the quicker they go bust the better as they appear to continually let good customers down

four separate orders and not one order completed , four orders and no emails to explain why such a delay or reason for cancelation- in my eyes thats **** company and service
