The T&C's clearly state "Only original, undamaged vouchers will be accepted".

I don't think they'll class a printed voucher as an original.

Voted cold.

Thanks for making the effort though, of course!

Numpty!!!

So how exactly do they expect you to take a pdf file to the cinema? Take your pc along with you and show them the monitor? lol no wonder some people get mad when people vote cold for no good reason!
#3
Numpty lmao

Voted hot!
#4
Just winds me up when people vote cold and the reason they give is so picky.
#5
lol, what a stupid comment. If you are going to vote cold you can atleast make sure it's justified first, all you have to do is go to the main vue website to see that it says right at the front 'download and print this voucher today'

some people
#6
Nobody deserves to be called names and laughed at because they give a reason for voting cold. Seems to me people moan if cold votes are given with no explanation and they moan even more if an explanation IS given and they don't like the explanation.
GibsonSt19 was polite and reasonable in his explanation for voting cold.
There was no need for all the nasty comments afterwards.

By the way, I haven't voted either way.
#7
^ Good post. Way to encourage people to explain their cold votes guys.

love is in the air.

they give these vouchers out when you purhcase a ticket at a till. you usually have to use the voucher by a certain time (i think maybe 2 weeks?), as they wright an expiery date on the voucher.

hence those vouchers would be the original, and a print-off wouldn't.

I'm not voting anything for now, i'll see if some people can make it work, although really i do think its abusing the system seeing as they usually give them out as a "thank you, please come back" sorta thing.

This link appears to indicate that you need to have bought a ticket to receive the voucher to use on your next visit. Seems the printed PDF voucher will not do the trick.

the print off voucher has a date on it!?
i think i'vee give up on this one now. obviously some peolpe are harder to please than others.
#17
or you could go to lastminute.com and buy the tickets cheaper...
#18
Voted hot, but I am not sure if you can use the one you printed yourself. I normally get these vouchers with stamped expired days when I was purchasing tickets from cinema counter...
#19
Thanks,
#20
I always buy my tickets to Vue for £4.75 through lastminute.com on a monday-thursday and then i collect £1.50 vouchers from the till for returning customers and £2.50 for the west end branch but they're like £13.00 anyway.

Good deal for people that aren't based in london or for people that would like to go on a weekend.
#21
Would the lastminute.com voucher also work with orange wednesdays?
#22
lastminute.com only do London Vue cinemas last time i checked. Shouldnt imagine you could get it to work with orange wednesdays as you have to give your mobile to the person at the counter to get your free ticket on purchase
#23
Used one today....got £1.50 off an adult £4.00 ticket
#24
I have just printed 4 copies and will try them at the Doncaster Vue cinema this evening when we go to see Transformers.

I'll let you all know how I get on when I get home later.
#25
The Same discont is also to be found if u pop into
ASDA, and pick up a Summer Kids Booklet that will be at the frontdoors with asda magazine.
1.50 discount adults 75p discount kids

valid till end of sept i think

If you go to http://www.annual-pass.com (similar to the link in the original posting) and click on "Your Benefits" at the top of the page there's a link to Vue Cinemas where it clearly states,

"Download your Voucher and SAVE UP TO £1.50 off of your next visit to Vue Cinemas."

So IMO there should be no prob using the printed off voucher.
#27
Of course there's no problem using the voucher, just because Vue are running a promotion to entice people to come back as a loyal customer, doesn't mean they don't also run a promotion to get those customers coming to their premises in the first place.

A lot of companies offer new customers better deals than the loyal ones, as they hope that a new customer will keep coming back, so they need to get as many new clientelle as possible, so it only makes sense to offer a discount to everyone in hope they'll all keep coming back.

Don't know if i explained myself properly, i'm not feeling very well at the moment. :-(

I used these last night without a problem. The sales assistant hardly looked at them - saved 6 squid and enjoyed the film to boot.

I used mine today, no probs at all, although the grumpy hag gave me her best snooty look !!

Apologies for getting this wrong.

I'm not sure I deserved the barrage of negative comments though.
