Wouldnt trust them to deliver anything,I won something on ebay they claimed to have delivered it to my work, nothing arrived and they gave a wrong name for who signed for it, They were unwilling to refund for the item. Avoid

Couldnt use the ebay protection as this was supposedly being delivered over the christmas period and after all the messing about went over the time scales for ebay

Think it depends which company you choose. I use parcel2go frequently to send parcels to my son who lives in sweden. when you ask for quote it will give you several courier options for example - ups, Royal Mail, TNT etc. I use ups, as its the cheapest option for me, but has to be collected from a business address, but not sure about other couriers

Weird, I am just looking at these right now as I heard it's cheaper than going to the post office and more convenient but I don't see how. It says it will cost me almost £3 to send a 3DS game but I think it's only £1.65 at post office.

Has anyone sent a game recently and know the prices?
#13
Just been speaking to Parcel2go help, If you require extra cover on it, if its over a certain price you may want more cover for compesation etc, Then the extra cover you still have to pay for so any signatures and stuff you need to pay for aparently
#14
cheers op

perfect timing just under estimated postage on something I sold on ebay now I get a profit :-)

Also, if when you put your details in, you use a different email address, you can get more than one parcel for free

I would highly recommend myhermes parcelshop via parcel2go.com for anything under 2kg its only £2.32 (plus VAT) you take it to a local corner shop before midday and the delivery to any uk address within 2-3 days, I send about 100 parcels a month with them and in the past year just one thing has gone missing!

very good

Why wouldn't book it directly with myHermes? Their website is probably easier and more customised for their service.

Anything that is of the large letter category or smaller will always be cheapet with royal mail. Its only when you go to small parcel or larger do you actually see any saving, sometimes anything upto ten times cheaper.

Nice find... Thanks

This is an easy site to use.easier than Royal Mail to find out prices, you just put the weight in and it gives you all the options.

A 3DS game will be large letter rate,if it's under a 100g it will be 73p second class,93p first class OR if it weighs over 100g it's 1.17 second and 1.24 first.

Indeed, unless you're getting a discount from parcel2go or cashback etc then going to Myhermes directly surely is easier, also if you go via a third party Hermes won't deal with you directly if there's a problem with your parcel.

Can anyone tell me where to register the code? Have registered my account though no "bonus code " type box is visible? Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone who replied to my comment.
I started to think that after I posted, that it would only be bigger packages that you save money on lol.

Cheers.

Awful company, very unreliable with their service.

Can I apply code for a future delivery booming or only when doing the booking process?

Hot thanks

Very bad experiences here, from service and customer relations. Package something well, mark "fragile" have it literally thrown around, stamped on and smashed!

Next to impossible to contact someone who will actually do anything for you, or understand English

Great stuff have a parcel to send will use this tonight thanks :)

I have a parcel to send to Poland but I think I will give this a miss. I'd rather it got there undamaged and be fully covered if anything goes wrong.
