This is likely to be user specific as indicated in the T&C. However if not I also received an email today for £5 off a £20 Ebay/ Paypal purchase today. Voucher CANDY. I haven't used Ebay for a while so probably trying to get me back. Doubt it will work for others.

yup ...user specific as mentioned on this site and others....I got the £10 off one if I use cuddllytoy4, which is the promo code mentioned everywhere at the moment.

After 10 emails to PayPal customer sevice I finally got to use a coupon (CUDDLYTOY1, £10 off £50) I had actually been sent. The 10 emails didn't solve it (with replies from 10 different paypal people, I wasn't going to call the 0870 number and the email replies automatically give you a random new person each time), I had to work it out myself. The email address of your Paypal account has to match the email address of the eBay account they sent the coupon to at the time of sending the coupon (probably along with some other hidden conditions). Because it said they had to match each other and they didn't, I changed the ebay email back to match the paypal one and the voucher wouldn't work until I changed them both back to the new ebay one!

I've put my general guide to testing paypal coupons in a new thread:

They are a real con now. I had this voucher and spent over £100 but could not redeem the voucher.

I gave them a call and after an age they said it was because the item I bought was available worldwide and not just on ebay.co.uk.

The lady said it has to be offered on .co.uk only and if its available on ebay.com then the voucher is not valid. Most people these days list worldwide!

As far as I'm concerned it's a con and I would not have bid so high without the voucher.

At least they could tell you what was wrong, and that was probably in the T&Cs page. Get someone to make an auction selling buy it now £80 of banknotes for £80.01, no postage, collection only (ebay listing fee of at least £1.50 I think), bid on it, pay £80.01 to their personal paypal account (use an instant payment if you can, not a credit/debit card, and they won't have to upgrade and pay fees) and use the coupon. You pay £70.01 with the coupon and they get £80.01 to withdraw to a bank account.

0208 6053000 if u want to call Paypal, which is what I did. I didn't receive the discount code email but on the phone, they said I met the T&C requirements for the code, and allowed me to use it.

the code "CUDDLYTOY4" gave me £10 off £50.

Weird, during 10 emails which were replied to by 10 different people nobody helped me even when I sent them PROOF I had been sent the coupon in the post and followed every instruction to the letter and only one of them suggested I call (an 0870 number of course so I didn't), and you call and are allowed to use coupons you weren't issued?! saynoto0870.com says your number is a general PayPal Europe number and it doesn't match the 0870 number off the coupon so I guess there are some helpful people working somewhere else. Anyone else have any luck just calling even though you weren't sent a coupon?

the code "CUDDLYTOY4" gave me £10 off £50.

Weird, CUDDLYTOY1, 2, 3 and 4 should be for £10 off £50, £60, £70 and £80 respectively. I got sent 1.

This Redemption Code cannot be used from your PayPal account.

opps my bad, its Cuddlytoy1 which is £10 off £50.

i guess the code you get depends on the number of feedback you have.

Just to confirm, I was able to use the CuddlyToy4 code today, got me £10 off an item over £80. They said they would process the code within 24 hours so I can use it today (I phoned yesterday) and thankfully enough, I was able to use the code after 25 hours wait.

Give the number a try, all I said was that I received the code via email, which I didn't, and they sent a "service request" enabling me to use the code as I met their T&C for the use of the code.

Can't complain.

Oh, you have to lie and commit fraud to use a coupon you weren't issued. Even worse, you lie and get it straight away and I tell the truth and they never did a "service request" for me when I emailed photos of the coupon to them. Not happy with PayPal.
