Sony KDL32S201 32" High Definition Digital LCD TV is £349.97 , I know the.97 usually means little or no stock and none in my area but someone might nick a bargain. The rest of their sub £500 TV's seem well overpriced

you need the voucher to claim this discount and it wont be advertised officially instore - although individual stores may have print outs of the press ads.

Also remember quidco is 5% on online sales and 3% for reserve and collect, so at least an extra £15 saved.

it tells me due to high demand this is unavailable :(

Looking at the prices of TVs at Currys they seem to have increased them for the run up to christmas.
e.g

PHILIPS 50PFP5532

Currys price £1,099.99 - after adding all the discounts it amounts to £940

PC World web price £859.99

Dixons price £859.99

Pixmania price £843
The funny thing is that if you search for the PHILIPS 50PFP5532 on Google Shopping it shows it as £859.99!

Could this be a bit of a scam?

Now it's £1,199.99

What a bunch of cowboys!!

Like others have said, this would be a good deal if the prices weren't inflated in the 1st place.

Cold.
#10
So who votes these deals HOT!

Do currys have robots clicking the hot link on this site or do you have a lot of impossibly hopeless stupid people clicking hot just coz there's x% off of something!

If you look hard enough you'll find loads of prices that have gone up, prices go up and down every day.. But at the same time you'll find loads that have dropped

The samsung R88's have dropped in price AND you get 10% off..

You can use this offer in conjunction with the code: SANTA504
Which gives you a further 5% off. Well worth it if you're buying an expensive TV.

Not working for me.
#13
I noticed this as well. The Panasonic Th37PX70PED usually retails at both Dixons and Currys (same company) for £720. I've been monitoring the price of this tv for a few months now, waiting to take the plunge. Dixons is still £720 and Currys now £900. With the 10+5% it brings it back down to £720. They're taking us for idiots. Absolute scum!!!

where did you get that info from???

Please stop spreading mis-information - show me a cache or any shred of information that currys have lowered prices on R88's!!!!!!!!!

I'll buy you a pint if you do!

I have been looking for the Sony40S3000 model for quite sometime. It is available from priceRunners for £650. It was £749 in curry's a week back. So I thought applying 10% off I would be able to get it at £675. To my horror I found that the price of the same model is hiked to £949.99 !!! Now even if you apply 10 or 15% discount you cannot reach the 749 price which the same shop had a week back.

This is no offer. Pure gimmick.

Who's voting this hot?

STOP!

The prices are hugely inflated to make it look like they are giving you a deal. They are not!

COLD!!!!

This is incorrect. The 32" R88 with HTX30 home cinema system was £619 last week whereas it is now £679 (i.e. increased by the price of the 10% saving). Very cheeky.

Would have been good to get 10% off plus 5% quidco.
#21
I've been after the 40" Samsung 1080p LCD for a while so I've been keeping a close eye on the prices, firstly Currys was one of the most expensive sites for this telly and the price on Currys website was £899 up until yesterday. Now the 10% voucher is out the TV has gone up to £1000.... so no saving whatsoever.....Why do Currys have to pretend that they are having a sale..that dosnt even come close to the prices of simlar websites

VOTED COLD>>>> ITS A BIG CON!

I have orderd the above TV from Dixons using the 5% off voucher and this brought the price down to £748....

Why don't you write your complaint on a piece of paper and wave it in the wind ? Same result.

Welcome to the forums.

Guess they have increased their prices so that they can have their "massive" New Year Sale in a couple of weeks.
