I bought a TV from Empire Direct just short of 2 weeks ago, is there anyway I can use the 10% voucher now, the TV has also gone down in price?

What can I do about this, I called once to explain and the guy said there's nothing he could do, should I keep calling and trying?

Cheers

Has the TV been delivered yet?

Yep, I collected it that same day from Bradford collection point.

Unless you could somehow return it & then re-buy, I doubt there's too much that can be done. Maybe someone else has had an expierience with Empire Direct though that might tell you otherwise?

my own experience with Empire Direct is you have no chance

i bought stuff a few months ago from them which never arrived

phoned up to find out where the goods were and was told they were out of stock and they would not be getting anymore back in

so i asked for my money back...still waiting

That's a bit of a horror story. I always thought Empire Direct had a pretty good reputation :?

Dam, ah well worth a try. If I had waited 2 weeks I would have saved myself about £60! Some places such as Argos tend to allow money back offers up to one month, sorry about your problems asr0ck, hope you get em sorted.

Cheers

forgot to say

when i ordered online...for some reason it didn't go through

so they phoned me up to take my credit card details - which i gave them and they confirmed goods would be sent out

which has obviously proved to be a blatent lie

I think that if they did give retrospective discounts to one person then they would be FLOODED with requests from soooooo many people asking for the same, so I seriously doubt they would. No harm in trying though

I would have thought they'd be more than happy to let you take up the extended guarantee, but whether or not that would also get 10% off.... hmmm, might be a bit of a grey area. Is there any way to edit your order? Not sure I've ever ordered anything from these guys (not online anyway)
#27
Cheers OP - just ordered myself a lovely new big telly for a heck of a lot less than I could find it anywhere else!
#28
Yep - had a crap experience with them as well - luckily I used Google checkout so I got my money back straight away :-)
#29
Ordered a nice new big TV last night with code and guarantee. Out of stock so I phoned this morning to get an idea of delivery. Customer Services and Sales answered straight away. Sales guy was very helpful and was stunned at the 10% discount. :) Just waiting new stock which is due to arrive next Thursday/Friday. Also no money goes out of account until stock arrives. No complaints with the service so far! Thanks OP.
#30
yeah there's 5 yrd guarantee with the new panasonic plasma's too if you become exta member or something(only £20) - with the 10% off your getting it at a great price with a warranty that would normally cost you hundreds

does anyone know if you join the extra membership to get the 3 years additional guarantee, do you get your account number instantly so you can use if on the same day?

also, do you need to purchase the extra membership separately from your TV order?

finally, a bit cheeky I know but anyone tried using google checkout to buy the membership and get £10 off?!

cheers

Just called and can collect my TV as soon as I like. Thanks to OP especially as this was a purchase I was already going to make rather that something too good to miss but I didn't really need.

jgfchan - yes you can buy the edxtra at the same time as your TV. If both are in your basket you'll get the extra warranty added.

you can get the membership at the same time, but from what I understand sadly the 10% discount can't be used along with Google checkout

am off to pick up my new LCD this evening for a bargain price!!
