Regardless, desktops are not considered "electronics and accessories" by Dell.

That's good to know - why not just say that instead of coming off as a dick?

Most reasonable people would read the exclusion of 'laptops', and would realise that a 'desktop PC' is quite distinct from a 'laptop'. My post will let such people know that the code won't work with desktop PCs either.

You have no good reason to be rude, or to attempt to treat someone on an internet forum as foolish. Dell need to be more explicit with their descriptions.
