£100 off a £250 spend @ Harrods with code

Instructions:Enter the code GIFT100 at checkout to get £100 off when you spend £250.

Thanks to beccagrace over on MSE for spotting this.

Edit: For the code to work every item in your basket must be over £100. So order a £150 item and a £100 item and it works. But if something is under £100 it only deducts a smaller amount (ie if you have a £50 item in your basket and a £200 item the code only deducts £50).

worked for me on a decanter but not on wine

I've just tried it with 2 £130 pairs of shoes and it worked bringing it down to £160.

Here is a link to thread on MSE:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2891918

Reading it, it seems that it only works if your idividual items are over £100. So you could order something at £100 and something at £150 and the code would work. But if you added 5 things at £50 each it would only take £50 off? No idea why though.

£130 for a pair of shoes????? Gulp!

Works on watches, and lots of them are "a bit" over the £250 target.
(But I was suprised to see not many "proper" watch makes listed.)

how about TV's?

"Cheap" for Harrods.
Bargain hunters shopping at Harrods, that's really funny :)

Shame, no tvs, no Ipad, no laptops..

There is a Sony 3D ready blu-ray home cinema system, about the best i can find to apply it to so far..

To harrods thats like a customer walking to a newsagent & buying 1 penny sweet. they will look down at you for spending so little. X)

Its probably cheaper to buy full price from another store. :) I think people just shop at Harrods because they like to show off. :)

Indeed!

Nearly as good as real-world ones like these:

http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg//SID-AC22AB33-CFF8693E/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/index_10947.htm?offerdate=&ar2=&ERR=noservice

(then I guess the Queen doesn't do her Christmas' shopping at Lidl)

Come on! These posh Harrods' "bargains" and vouchers always seem to have a catch or two or then are retracted as soon as real buyers (not just daydreamers who want to shop where Her Majesty does!) start to jump in at them.

I've just looked on the harrods website and smart shoes seem to range from about £65 to £330... pleasantly surprised, not that unreasonable. A pair of decent smart shoes in M&S are £70 and about £100 in M&S. If you go in with your eyes open you can probably get a reasonable saving on some quality clothing with this.

The lumix G2 looks a good deal with this voucher.

Where do you enter the voucher?

Found it, it was in the shopping bag (but would not deduct off a £750 Mulberry handbag for the OH.

Cheers OP. Hot :)

The code takes off the lowest price item when you spend over £250 up to the value of £100. If you click on shopping bag it lets you enter the promotional code. Nice find!

Dont know if its near where you live but Bicester shopping Village in Oxfordshire have a Mulberry outlet shop there at more reasonable prices. You might be able to pick something up from there if you want to purchase Mulberry!
