Me neither... tried different options - it seems the code only works on M1330 if the system is at least £599 excl. delivery... it then kicks in and knocks close 90-odd quid off... so you're looking at at least £560, approximately, including delivery

Well the one I've listed is the top-end at £815.40 exc vat.

(I went for the 2.5GHz 6MB Cache processor and 4GB Ram at only £60 extra it's well worth the upgrade if I can add the bleedin voucher :):) )

did you copy and paste the whole thing - including question marks?

also: that's a great computer, but are you sure you want to upgrade the ram from 3GB to 4GB given that the system won't see much of that difference (32bit Windows can't use more than about 3.5gb of RAM)?

What I'm wondering is why they show RED as a colour option on the first page but then it isn't on the drop-down list?

I just tried to apply the coupon to the top-end one and it worked - knocked £119 off price... cool, that one has free delivery too... hmm...

If i accept and then send back, do i lose out on return postage, and is there a restocking fee?

cheers

Thats the one I choose £625 after VAT & discount. Just debating if I should lump out another £100 for 3 years insurance =/ urghh. This was on Dell Outlet side with the £55 off current promotion which I think you get much more value for money I believe this system on Dell was actually just short of £700 even after the 15%.

I'd agree with this. Ordered a new customised laptop using the 15% discount voucher just before Midnight on Thursday 5th, June, which was delivered at 07:50 on Tuesday 10th June!!

Very impressed with the service received from Dell todate.

Thanks. Just got my son a XPS M1530 for his birthday, and saved an extra £106.35.

Be quick, voucher expires 11 June 2008!

Until they extend it again ;)

(No, I don't have any inside info, but they have done this in the past)

Somewhere else on here is a thread about getting cheap Dells - have a search, it was very useful.

There's a final 'trick' that apparently usually works. Once you've taken delivery of your pc/laptop, phone them up, say you're not happy with it, and they offer you an instant 10% rebate - to save the hassle of collecting it, re-selling it (at a lower price) etc.

You could say it's pretty unethical to do that, but if you've got a genuine reason - ie, it's now cheaper - then you could try that and see if it re-dresses things.

This may be it: RED is a model specification, I found it the other night. Some sort of tie-up with Microsoft, whereby if you go for this top of the range RED machine, they give some of the money to an African charity or something. So you have to specifically order the RED machine, rather than it being a sub-option.
