Good discount X10 :)

Forgive me, long [email protected]
Does this mean, used 3 times, in the same transaction, thus making a £45 order free, or, you can place 3 orders, all of £45+ and get them each for what is £30+?
I reckon it's the latter, but not sure.
Thx

Thanks for this X10 :) these empirestores vouchers are proving to be very useful on the run up to Christmas!

Boydent999 they mean it can me used on 3 seperate orders of £45+ :)

I dunno, is it? It is ambiguous to say the least
"The voucher can only be claimed 3 times (maximum) when spending £45 or more."
The words, "on 3 SEPARATE orders" or similar would have helped :x and that is not a go at X10, more at the way it is worded.
Thanks for sensible reply millercat, much appreciated

Hey boydent999, I copied the wording directly from the flyer, so I can only comment on the copywriter of that.
It never occured to me that someone might think to use it 3 times on one transaction.
But attempting to use the code would clarify their position as you can only enter it once, so they don't need to explicitly state for 3 seperate orders.
Thank you millarcat for answering though.

HI, If I order a couple of items and returned one for what ever reason does the code still apply to the other item, as it goes through at checkout and each item is reduced separately?
#8
Like i said X10, it wasn't a go at you, i figured you'd only copied what was on the flyer. It didn't occur to me either, but given how folks like to use as many vouchers as poss in one transaction, you never can tell.

I'll not ask again if anything doesn't make sense, and just ignore any ambiguity

Lurcheress, i think the completed order would have to be £45+, so if you returned summat for whatever reason, if the order was reduced to less than £45, they'd be looking to claim their £15 back....i would imagine

Don't worry, I didn't think you were having a go at me

Let them try, you can only enter 1 code at a time :)

It depends on how they do it, but I think boydent999 is correct. HMV and ASDA work out the discount per item in the order, just like you said in your post, so when they remove anything it just works out what the remaining items are less the divided discount. This has only happened to me on items that the respective companies have cancelled on me, and not me cancelling or returning 1 item from a multiple item order.
So, I would either recommend calling them up before you order, or asking at the time of order (if you do it on the phone) if you want to be certain (though my guess is they will say they take the discount back if you return anything that makes the remaining order inapplicable to the discount).

If there is anyone out there that has experience of this and can post a difinitive answer that would be most welcome.

when ive ordered multiple items the discount has been evenly spread between the items and if ive returned part of order have lost out on discount e.g. ordered a £20 item and £10 item received £15 discount so was charged £10 for 1st item and £5 for second. returned 1st item and was refunded £10, so only received the £5 discount on second item. hope this makes sense
im off to browse empire stores, sure i can find something to use the discount on :giggle:
