Instructions:i just bought a TomTom ONE XL Great Britain for £132.36 from amazon as at check out it said sign up to the dvd rental that can be cancelled at any time and save £15 on this order. Furthur more its £15 off then 17.5% vat is added after the discount so it worked out at £16.64 on the £149.99 tomtom.
So basically you sign up and they take the fee off your card immediately (within 24 hours im guessing). As long as no DVD's have been sent out to you and you cancel within the first 7 days of signup, you can claim to have the payment refunded back to your card.
Just remember to cancel within the 7 days and contact them! even if you dont get the first £3.99 back you still get £11 discount and it seems to be working on almost everything, even orders under £15.
It's on the VERY last step before you actually submit your order... Ie, the page where if you click continue, your order is complete and payment will then be processed.
cant go wrong really, just don't add any dvds to your list and you can cancel within 7 days for free.
Amazon are running a promotion right now for an unspecified period, whereby if you start a DVD Subscription service with them (Cheapest package is £3.99), they subtract £15 from the total order.
You can either use the DVD subscription and cancel after your first month, which means you essentially saved £11 on your order, or you can cancel it within 7 days and get a refund for it - so your not a penny out of pocket and get the full £15 saving. In order to get that refund though, you MUST remember not to add any titles to your rental list as theres a risk they may be despatched to you.
To get this discount...
1. Add something to shopping basket
2. Click proceed to checkout
4. Choose or input an address to have the order sent to
5. Choose a delivery method and click continue
6. Choose a payment method and click continue
7. This is the final page im talking about... Once you click 'Place Order', that's you... On the right hand side under the 'Order Summary' panel, there should be a DVD icon with £15 written on it... Click it and you get a pop-up.
There you have it
Hi again this seems to be working for most people who have an amazon account my advice would be to login in and add to your basket whatever you want (can be under £15 as well) and then go to the final screen, before the final click and if the dvd rental thing pops up then complete your order and if not just cancell, there are all types of bargains to be had tomtom xl gb for £136 you will not find it anywhere cheaper than that! it works for most but not all but definatly worth a go
