If either of these voucher codes have expired, you can also get 5% off on Glasses Direct's own website if you "Tell a Friend" by supplying the email addresses of three friends.

I have purchased a pair of Element frames from Glasses Direct. They're brilliant and a real bargain at £15 even before any voucher codes were applied. I went into Specsavers today and saw they had nearly identical glasses for £99, and that didn't include the free anti-scratch coating that Glasses Direct provide (make sure you check the box to add this free coating).

I couldn't believe how well priced their products were at first. I thought there had to be a catch, they're going to charge extra for the lenses or something. Their rimmed frames (with prescription lenses included) are £15, semi-rimless are £25, bendable are £35, rimless are £45 and even designer frames start at £45. The only thing you have to add on to the price is postage at £2.50. And you can also add on other coatings etc.

The glasses are well made and there are plenty of modern styles to choose from. They have a really useful page on their website with help on how to select the right style for your face.

Customising and purchasing your glasses with your prescription is so easy. The bit I like the most is that you can upload a picture of yourself and see how you would look wearing them - it's really neat and almost as good as being in an opticians! They say you will receive them between 14-28 days but mine actually arrived through the letterbox four days after ordering them.

My partner has also bought another two pairs of glasses. I can see we might end up addicted to buying new glasses! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and I'll certainly be going back for more.

Is it possible to use more than one code at once?

wife got some £15 excellent quality the prescription had a number missing so they sent reading instead of distance glasses,The wife rang them up and they sent a prepaid jiffy to send them back they then sent the right pair and a week later the first pair for free so 2 sets for £15 great to see a company selling ata reasonable price.I'll never be ripped off again by boots or specsavers.

No, I don't work for them, but as Athravan has mentioned, their referral programme is excellent. ;-) And I would ONLY refer with such a positive posting if I was happy with the service and products I have received. I am 100% happy with Glasses Direct and honestly wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Also, as den169 has pointed out, they give you an 100% satisfaction guarantee. If there is something wrong with the glasses, whether it's their fault or yours, or you've even changed your mind on which colour you should have chosen, they will ensure you are happy! Shame more companies don't value customers like this...

Wow! Terrific site - shame I didn't see this page before putting thru my order! Doh!

i used to use glasses direct, but a friend put me onto www.goggles4u.com they come from the states and are currently doing titanium memory frames all suited and booted for around £15 delivred.

I would definetly recommend goggles4u before glasses direct as they have a much wider range plus theyre cheaper!!
[admin]#17
I'm quite positive googles4u is not american. It is a Hong Kong company and the glasses are done in Pakistan and China.

I sent my glasses back for a refund as they make rimless glasses using regular lenses which are brittle so mine snapped after a couple of days.
All high street opticians use polycarbonate which is thinner and much stronger, polycarbonate costs about 50 pence extra to the company. When I complained to glassesdirect they said it would cost me £40 extra on top of the £57 originally paid. this is the same company that uses the 1000% mark up article on their site to promote their low prices.

they refunded me and promised to send polycarbonate rimless, I had the cheque refund and the polycarbonate specs arrived today

since I complained polycarbonate is now their rimless standard

Top company and I will order again - excellent customer services

WOW, glasses direct has saved me a bundle and with this code I saved even more! BTW if you order a pair of glasses and leave a message on a forum (like this message) you can email glasses direct with the link and they send you a £5 voucher of your next pair!! (ill try the code as well :) THANKS GUYS

If people are hesitant about buying glasses online the MSE site has a very good guide
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1134472921,56555,

There are sites that are cheaper than glasses direct. I've used www.optical4less.com who are based in Hong Kong and have some good reviews.

Hi,
I just placed an order with glasses direct after reading good reviews all around.I was tempted by still cheaper options- but the 14 day trial gave me some peace of mind as Iam ordering specs for the first time over the net.The code quidsin still gave me 10% discount  though quidco cashback seems to be no more.I went through rpoints for 6% cashback. pand p is 3.75£ now.Free if u order two.Overall,a good deal!Happy shopping!

'club toyota' still works. thanks!
#23
Neither 'club toyota' or 'quidsin' working today. Glasses Direct website reports both have expired.

Hope Quido tracks OK.
