Thanks Emma.

Remember to add the 16% from Quidco at the moment as well!
#4
Nice find emma :)

Brillaint find!

Anyone know if this works on pre-orders? With this plus Quidco, I could pre-order the Harry Potter book for just over £6 I think

Wow! Nice deal then! If you don't mind, I'll make a note in the OP.

Not sure about the pre-orders, guess we'll have to wait until Thursday.
#7
Pre orders are fine although for Quidco I'd be looking for books published before August.
#8
^ i dont get it why wont quidco work for books published after august?
#9
good one

I'm not an HMV customer, can i still use the code?
#11
Do you go to quidco and go through hmv to go to waterstones, or straight from waterstones?!
#12
I'll be buying the books for my holiday using this offer...thanks. Voted hot!

If you register with hmv tonight or tomorrow, sometime before your purchase then I don't see a problem. But I might be wrong......
#14
I don't see how they would know if you are an HMV customer. So I would say this code is available to anyone, as all you do is input it at the basket stage @ Waterstones.
#15
Does this mean Waterstones are about to put their prices up by 25% for a couple of days then??

Bet it doesn't work with pre-orders, otherwise with Quidco you could get the new Harry Potter book for £6.04 with collection from store and Quidco cashback!

Won't work for me, says invalid code!

That's because it isn't available to use until noon on Thursday! (see post #1)

please read dates in OP... :)

Haha!!! I actually thought it was thursday today!!!!!

Just 'preordered' Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch, even though the release date is today. It accepted the code (I signed up at HMV just in case), so altogether I got it for £10.61 instead of £12.89! (And there's the 16% from Quidco)

Great find, thanks v. much.

This applies to anything that's in their existing offers as well, by the looks of things. Picked up a few books from their sci-fi 30% off sale. 20% off that with this voucher, 16% Quidco, 1% cashback with Egg Money - all told it comes in at well under half price. Bargain.

I've just tried to use my HMV account details on waterstone's site, and they don't work...

Do I need to register with Waterstones as well?

I thought they were connected...
#22
I can't seem to find the option to get it delivered to a store.

Am I right in thinking it is free to do this regardless of how much you spend or do you have to spend over £15?
#23
When you get to the 'Purchase details' window, you can choose to add the branch you want to ship it to instead. Change it to be your default shipping (click on the red X next to the it) and you're done.
#24
Just got new Harry Potter on pre-order for £7.19 if Quidco is 16% of the price before discount then possibly then could get this for £5.75!!
#25
Cool did my ordering last night got several items and order being tracked.
The transaction has appeared in my Quidco but has 0.00 against it is that as it doesn't go through until payment completed?
#26
Still seems to be working. Placed an order at 10:40 AM.

 I use the internet regularly to make purchases and Quidco sounds like a fabulous idea so I joined. For the Waterstones 16% Quidco offer, I followed the link from Quidco to ensure it was tracked.

Then I purchased £21.98 worth of books with the HMV discount of 20% (£4.40) so it came to £17.68. Delivery was free and Quidco showed the purchase was being tracked. Today I checked again on Quidco to purchase something else ... and it said "validated" but the amount is £0. Another purchase said validated as well but it had the earned figure. I double-checked my Paypal account to see if perhaps it was already paid (if it did, wow quick) but unfortunately it did not register payment. Does this mean it did not work?

 I would follow up further with an enquiry with Quidco but before I make a fool out of myself, can someone who is familiar with Quidco tell me if this is right. Is it because it is already 20% discount via HMV code therefore 16% is not validated?

Any advice will be most appreciated, thanks.
#28
HMV always tracks at 0 until dispatch so maybe Waterstones is the same as its the same company - check on the quidco entry and it should give you info
#29
thanks for the tip, i'll keep a lookout :)
