There is a minimum spend of £50 with this code!!
It was not accepted when I had £47 worth of stuff in my basket but when it was £55, the code was accepted.
Please edit the minimum spend section :)

Just ordered (likely) the same TV for the bedroom.

With 8% quidco also it makes the TV £256ish

Well pleased, I was going to get the TV on 0% until feb 2011 and hoped to find a 5% or 10% off by typing in a few codes.

This just made my day, delievery tomorrow.

Thank you op.

DO NOT USE, you will be charged back in the future, just hit me with nearly £300 in chargebacks from a 2 yr period
#12
They can't charge you after the fact. Once the goods are supplied it's a binding contract.

They could refuse to supply the goods, or honour the code initially during the purchase process, hence why once you have used a code it won't work for you personally again.

You should get a solictior involved, it will be an easy win. More likely they will settle out of court anyway as they know they would lose and they would also have to pay court fees.
#13
was the code sent to you or have you found it rom anotherforum? thanks

Wrong.

There is precedent for this, Littlewoods and others have successfully claimed WRONGLY USED vouchers back in the past.

which is why alot of the codes are only to be used be certain people and they will only work for them.if a code works on your account then you can use it dont worry about it. some have been charged back maybe but alot havent including me.
#23
chanced it used on old account NOT new and quidco hope no charge backs

I think they are charging back the few people who use, multiple codes all the time on every account - and the main one which alerted the company to it was the £25 off no min spend!
I tihnk the main lesson is not to be greedy, or you may very well get caught out.

Yeah, the very website is slow and unresponsive so it probably cut out midway through the order process

Did they go to court?

Consumer law about invitation to treat and also binding acceptance of a contract after delivery is pretty clear. Plus I'd be surprised if a court didn't rule that littlewoods should have a system in place to stop people that are not eligible being able to input discount codes. Which they kinda do.

Plus, if the discount code is accepted over the phone, then it's also done in good faith.

Still, sometimes rulings are made that seem odd, so I'd certainly like to see the court case transcript if there has been one. I'd guess that littlewoods should also have a disclaimer on every purchase made that you have to have read before continuing to purchase.

I don't doubt for a moment that littlewoods would apply the retrospective charges and I don't doubt people would pay them. But I wonder if your use of the word precedent is in the legal sense or simply that littlewoods have done it.

Absolutely, that law is clear.

And it states in their terms that if an invalid voucher is used, they have the right to reclaim.

This is included in the invitation to treat.

I am unaware of any court case, but have little doubt that they would win (realistically they would never go to court, as it would be a massive PR loss for them).
