I think in conjunction with this voucher HMV is now the cheapest place to preorder Zelda: Twilight Princess (£26.99) on the Gamecube. However, do I trust HMV to get this to me by Christmas? I'm not sure I do...

Just ordered Planet Earth DVD box set, seems to be the cheapest place to get it on the web. Correct me if I am wrong, although I hope I'm not as that would mean I overpaid for it.

I recieved an order from them today that I ordered just a few days ago, and on the site they have dates that orders are due by to recieve them before christmas, so fingers crossed it would be with you in time for christmas

Your calculation is correct and with the discount + quidco this is currently the best price around.

The HMV discount codes which regularly appear plus the use of quidco usually give the best deal but remember to always shop around as HMV prices are above average.

The only problem I have with HMV is most of my orders for CDs & DVDs arrive not sealed with scratches on cases and sometimes on the disc. Very, very annoying and unsuitable as gifts. However, HMV will replace or refund if you are not happy.

I received a CD order confirmation 14th Nov which was in stock and it arrived yesterday 27th Nov. I don't know if this is typical for HMV free shipping as it's been many months since I last ordered with them.

You should be OK for delivery by Xmas.

I've found HMV shipping to be reasonably good delivery time wise. It's taken about a week for most things to arrive.

One of the best bargains using the £5 off £30 is for 3 DVDs for £15 as you get 6 for £25 ;-) Plus 11% QuidCo if you use it.

I'm bitter that I ordered Guitar Hero II over the weekend and it said it was in stock. Yet now when I go back to check they're waiting for stock from the supplier the cheeky sods. It quite clearly said it would be dispatched within 24hrs.

It's almost as if I was cursed for posting the amazing price for all to share :)

Is it in any way possible that HMV filter out people who have used discounts, you know, like second rate customers? I don't think it's entirely unlikely as the ones who have paid full price are perhaps more likely to kick up a fuss than the bargain hunters.

You could be right about the "preferrential" customer's, but it's more likely to be random I think.

The same sort of thing happened to me, when I found the ATMT 300Gb USB drive from Amazon. I posted the deal straight away, it went round to all other forums and mine took quite a while to arrive :) A good deal is worth waiting for though and means you still have something nice to look forward too ;-)

Just tried using the voucher code for the Planet Earth DVD's but it says it's "Not Recognised"???
