Instructions:In todays (23/07/09) Metro there is an promo for Just Eat with a one use per person code for £3 off your order.

The promo is also online here www.metro.co.uk/justeat although it says 'This offer is exclusive to Metro readers and can be used each time you order with Just Eat' the one in the paper says once only per customer and that is what I have found to be the case with Just-Eat.

I've used Just Eat a lot and it's really handy because you can order your takeaway and pay online by card.

Here's the pasted article:

Because staying in is the new going out
Just Eat allows you to order delicious and freshly prepared food online from 2,800 different restaurants and takeaways, delivering locally to more than 280,000 members.

Choose from a variety of global cuisine that includes all your takeaway favourites such as Pizza, Chinese and Indian. Even your preferred restaurant chain is available, with Yo Sushi, Pappa Johns, Itsu and Bombay Bicycle on board.

Fancy something a little different? An expanding range of Sushi, Mexican, Thai, American and many, many more is also available. Just Eat is continually striving to recruit new delicacies to deliver to you in the comfort of your own home.

The process of ordering is easy, convenient and above all, secure. Login to Just-Eat.co.uk using your free profile, enter your postcode and choose from the selection of restaurants in your area. It's that simple!

£3 off every Just Eat order

Metro readers can now enjoy a £3 discount on their Just Eat order by simply entering the promotional code metro3 at the checkout page.

Once you are happy with your order details, you will come to a page with 'Apply Code' in a box highlighted in red. Simply enter the promotional code here and proceed to the next stage where you can pay easily and securely with your credit or debit card.

This offer is exclusive to Metro readers and can be used each time you order with Just Eat.

Order takeaway the smart way, go to www.just-eat.co.uk and use promo code metro3

Hmm... didn't try to order, just tried to add it to my account - think it would work if I just put in an order tomorrow with it... although not sure what the difference would be! :-(

Just ordered a meal from a chinese and starters from a pizza place and saved £6! HOT.

I have to say I'm loving this. I've used it 6 times in the last 3 days - I order a few starters from one place, then a couple of main meals from somewhere else. :)

I haven't figured out an exact formula for getting it to work but I normally try and cover all bases by not creating a new account, giving a different phone number & email address, and also tweaking the address slightly (e.g. 123FakeSt instead of 123 Fake Street). I also use Private Browsing in Safari.

Although it is slightly annoying that some places insist on charging you 40p/50p just to use a card.

Thanks. Works great.

Seems making an order does actually change matters... so if you've had problems like me then it's worth trying it on an order anyway! Voted hot now (hadn't voted before).

Yes, you'll see it before you need to enter any credit card details.

"You have already used this voucher code once on this profile."

Hohum, no using it the second time I guess.

edit: also not tricked by a second profile with the same address :)

Not been a problem for me, used multiple times on the one account.

Just used thanks!

But it seems like everytime I order, I only have the choice to pay by credit/debit card which adds £0.5 to the total. When I choose the payment method, am I supposed to just choose the -------- in the drop down menu if I want to pay by cash?

The offer is from Just Eat who are accepted the hit on the discount, the Restaurant are still getting the full amount from Just Eat. If the discount applied on Cash payments the Restaurant would be having to take the hit, which in alot case wouldnt be worth their while delivering.

I've used this like at least 20 times. I just make sure that I'm using Private Browsing in Safari and that I give a different email address/phone number each time. If you're ordering from more than one place consecutively (i.e. in the same web session) you don't need to bother with this as it just remembers your details and applies the voucher automatically.

Make sure you use a number you have access to - I decided to enter my dad's number one day and he was quite bemused when the pizza company rang him.

Just tried it a few times to test it out and yes, you can use it as many times as you like. Good find.

Tried it with a combination of inputs. with/without account, email, phone, private browsing etc.

So it needs:

Private browsing on (so it dosent auto save your details in the cookies).
A different email address.
A different phone number.

Dont think so, as I said I have used numerous time (3 times this week :p). All my settings are stored in cookies - same email and phone used everytime with no problems

Maybe it variates between locations, regions or establishments?

For me it will only work with what I mentioned above.
#29
It only worked once per account for me as well.

Can't you use the codes as many times as you like?

This is awesome :)

When i go to checkout again it applies the code so doesn't seem like its a 1 use thing! No way it could tell anyway as surely you dont HAVE to register to order?

Just gotta say that yes this works, although I have put in my address as usual 3 times so far without creating an account, but with different email address and phone numbers and it seems to do the trick *touches wood*

Thanks.
#35
Oh and it's still working tonight.
#36
Yup, the trick is to use different email addresses and phone numbers.

Just wondering if this still works? Can anyone shed some light?
#37
yeah it does just used it. different phone and email
#38
The email can be the same. You just need a diff phone each time you order.
#39
Ordered, and apparently the company have no record of receiving it. Even said they aren't online. So lost £6. Awesome

We've just made our first order with our local take away so just waiting for it to come now.

Doner Kebab, 1/2lb Chicken Burger and Large Fries for £5.30 + 40p card fee is excellent!!

So have I got this right; in order to keep on using the voucher code you can keep the same account but just change the phone number every time?
