The only problem with Littlewoods is that everything is well overpriced, so even if you get the £30 off, it's still more then other online retailers

Hi
Agree with you on that but think its quite good if you want the england shirts, as £40 for 2 is a bargain dont think you can get it cheaper on internet anywhere else.
#3
just ordered a wonderbra at £26 and an england shirt for the bf at £39

got both for £35 so good deal seen as i was going to pay £26 for the bra anyway

so its only £9 extra for the shirt. thanks

Welcome to Hukd's bakes1966 :) Thanks for the code

Seemed to work on an Nintendo DS Lite, bringing the price down to £79. That's without the quidco 6%.
#6
dab radios seem a good deal with this - dab 1 - £30ish
#7
:-( Couldn't find anything I wanted to use the voucher on. Good spot though! :)

Bought a Wii remote from Littlewoods back in November with the previous new users offer. Last week I got my fourth letter giving me a revised delivery date. This date has gone and the remote has again failed to arrive.
My money was taken the moment I placed the order of course.
#9
well me england shirts are being delivered tomorrow hopefully on account lol
#10
ah well didnt get account so no shirts but good spot
#11
That happened to someone else, if you ring them and state you would happily pay via card payment, they should give you same discount code to use.
Cheers
#12
Thanks for the discount code.

I have ordered a black DS but it is not expected until May 7th :x

How exactly do you pay the 20 installments? Is it direct debit from a bank account or can you pay them via credit card?
#13
You can pay it in post office, at bank, internet, each month, or you can just ring and pay full outstanding amount in one go.
#14
I've just ordered a white ds lite on the phone and payed in full on my card using the above code.

You do have to set up an account with them however no worries about having to pay over 20 weeks as they clear the full payment.

Sign and return a credit agreement, recieve you catalogue and close the account!

One nintendo DS lite for £79.00, bute, thanks alot

I have ordered a phone priced at £69.00. I used the code and this is showing on my order summary with the discount bringing the price down to £39.00. I have opened an account with the 20 week payment option, but have since received a confirmation email showing the amount to pay is £69.00. The £30.00 discount is not showing.
I'm don't know whether to cancel the order, or wait until it arrives and then contact Littlewoods.:?

Wait until it arrives. They usually send you when they take the original full amount out of your account.

Give them a call and check,

I checked my order summary and the discount had'nt been applied, went on to check with the bank and sure enough they'd taken the full £109 from my account. Called this morning and they said the £30 would be refunded.
#18
Has anyone had problems with this deal? I received my statement through today and it had the full price on it.

I called them only to be told that I am not eligable for the offer. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Keith

My bill came through ok, my friends came through without the £30 off so she rang with the code and they applied it. I have kept a copy of the the order which shows the £30 off this way they cannot state different.

After waiting for what seems like a year and having lots of problems with Littlewoods i cancelled my order today (delivery date slipped back again by 4 weeks!).

Don't bother with this one, if you pay the full amount up front, and they forget to apply the discount (happened to me) you have to wait for the item to be dispatched before they will refund it! The date has slipped 3 times and the excuses have come thick and fast.

Gona head over to Game and pick one up tonight!

I work for Littlewoods and know that they are stopping any orders they spot with codes not personally issued to you. You don't get an email telling you this, read the Terms and Conditions on their website point 2.3 It advises any codes not found to be issued to you, will be removed. Also advises you will not be advised of this and that the full amount of the order will be deducted from your card or charged to your account. They are fully covered by the T's & C's so you can't even argue about it if you go overdrawn on your card!:!:

Spoil sports.... ;)

PS: if you work there can you ask why someone cancelled my order for DS lite for no reason?

Drop them an email, we answer all emails, taking a little while to get a reply at present tho' we are 6 days behind due to a server crash. Remember to quote your account number or full address, so we can find your order for you. There is normally a valid reason for a cancelled order. Never know, I may answer it for you!

Do Littlewoods terms and conditions over-ride the law?

If we 'can't argue', are you implying that you can charge an amount that has not been agreed, and as a customer we have no recourse?

If I click that I accept a payment of £60 and they charge me £90, I think I would be right in saying that would be illegal. I have agreed to pay £60 not £90. They may be within their rights not to honour a coupon, but they cannot then decide to take more without my authority. Thats in my T&Cs for my Credit Card.

I wonder what trading standards would have to say about a company that thinks it can change authorised amounts without telling you (as you have just suggested.)

This company has been doing this for ages. I wonder if anyone has ever stood up to them?

Ive never placed an order with them. But if I did and they did this to me, it is something I would contant trading standards for. There can be no doubt it is illegal to present to a credit card company, an amount higher than has been agreed.

Good point actually. When you use the code the discount comes off the total automatically without authorization. You then 'authorize' for that amount to be taken from your card. To then dismiss the discount and take the full amount for the product without contacting the customer is not only wrong, but possibly illegal.

La redoute do the same - I spoke to customer services on one occasion and said that I hadnt authorised that amount to be taken from my CC - the reply was that they can take whatever they like, you have authorised payment to be taken and then they decide the amount afterwards!

Trading standards agree that a customer should always read the terms and conditions of any company, before placing an order. Point 2.3 advises that the full amount will be charged if the code is found not to have been personally issued. For that reason, they can charge the full amount lawfully, because the info was there for you, before agreeing to order. There is a box you tick that says " I agree to the terms and conditions" before placing your order~ Sorry guys.

Everyone agrees that a customer should always read the terms and conditions.

What we would like to know is, are you stating that littlewoods terms and agreements overule customers statutory rights?

Why are you sorry?

I note that you have listed La redoute codes and Vertbadet codes for general use yourself. Do they not state the same terms and conditions as Littlewoods. Also littlewoods put their codes out in magazines and things like that for anyone to use. If they accept a code how long later can they then remove it and up your balance. I have looked at the T & C's and it does not state just how long later they can remove a code. Surely they should have a time limit.:?

thanks for the code

Expired?

I posted a deal on here with the code and all of the people that commented on the deal said it was expired...

???
