Instructions: A technet subscription provides downloads and subscriptions keys to nearly all Microsoft Software. This includes all flavours of Vista, Microsoft Server 2008, all flavours of Microsoft Office. Technet subscriptions are mostly used by developers for testing and the license does state that you should not use the software in a production environment. Whether running the software on a home environment qualifies a production environment, I'm not too sure. You are meant to renew your subscriptions each year if you wish to continue using the software. Mine has lapsed for quite sometime and the software that I activated prior to the subscription lapsed is still functioning perfectly well.
