nice one. Shame they don't post their rates online though.

Cold from me.

£500 x 1.13 = 565 Euro, with a fiver off is £495.

Go to fairfx, pre-order a fairfx card loaded with £495 worth of Euro (which allows you to withdraw money from local ATMs when you need it, or use it as a mastercard), and you get just over Eur 573 (in reality you order a Eur 570 card, and get it cheaper than £495).

Also works for any amount, much better if you do not need five hundred quids worth of currency. And you get the convenience of not having to carry around loads of cash, you can use ATMs charge free at your destination.

Assuming you want a fairfx debit card, then your 8 euro saving is a good deal. If, however, you would also need some cash, then this is also worth considering (I have a $ fairfx card which charges for withdrawal at cashpoints - I assume the euro one does not charge?)
