Hi, Thank you for that. Shall double check e-mail address on both eBay and PayPal are the same. Were undoubtedly the same whilst trying to use a promo code several months ago but they came up with another excuse not to honour. Total had to be excluding postage or invoice was 24-hours late so they did not honour. Not the biggest fans of PayPal admittedly.

Best Regards.

The same as the ebay address you had when ebay sent you the coupon (maybe not true if paypal send you a coupon directly?). I changed them both to the paypal address because they were different and neither the T&Cs nor paypal support helped me there.

As per all PayPal codes received from PayPal and/or eBay, PayPal are dishonouring this code. eBay and PayPal e-mail address are the same. E-mailed PayPal but am not hopeful that they will be of assistance. Really do dislike PayPal and the way that they conduct their business.

You'll have to check all the rules and spell it out to them that you've read the rules and met all of the requirements... and they'll still copy and paste vague advice at you that they'd know you already knew if they'd read your message. According to defoe in another paypal thread you want to phone 0208 6053000 (might not correspond directly to the 0870 number they tell you to use, so MORE likely to find someone helpful?!).

edit: If you persue this I'd love to know whether you didn't follow an actual rule, an invisible rule or whether they forgot to put it on your account or something. I wasn't following an invisible rule that I had to guess myself.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I guess that they're dishonouring this coupon due to an invisible rule that has not been met. Thank you for the non-0870 number. Much appreciated. I'm anti-0870 and was going to check whether or not there was a geographical number for PayPal via saynoto0870.com. Shall ring them as am not hopeful that they will read the e-mail sent to them and respond personally. By all means i'll post back on this thread if I get anywhere with PayPal.

Shame that Google do not have an auction site to compete with eBay, whilst i'm aware that these problems are with PayPal they are ultimately an eBay company and in my experience neither (eBay or PayPal) are interested in problems like this. Why they send coupon codes that they do not honour I do not know but this is not the first occasion that this has happened.

Updated 15:40 18/09/06. Rang PayPal and 18-minutes later none the wiser. Confirmed that e-mail address on eBay and PayPal were the same however no explanation given as to why coupon code does not work. Was assured that an e-mail would be sent within 30-minutes of phonecall ending confirming that PayPal will refund £5.00 manually however 5-6 hours later no e-mail has arrived in inbox. If 0870 number had been dialled i'd be really disgruntled right now as have got nowhere with PayPal.

Best Regards.
