Instructions:I got emailed a code for £5 off any order at evans which i discovered works with the free delivery code EVAU925. You have to enter both codes one at a time at the checkout but they both apply to any order. I tried ordering something for £5 which wouldnt work as it needed card details and couldnt process £0.00 But my £6 order went through for £1 delivered. I placed my order 2 weeks ago and have had my items delivered and only the £1 debited so thought it was safe enough to post now.

Remember to use both codes to get your £5 off and free delivery

Same here, They obviously don't like that people are getting money off, and using it as a way round. I've emailed them but I doubt they'll be bothered. :x

Has everyone had their orders canceled?

#12

#13
Just ordered 3 pairs of pants cost me a pound HOT
#14
Just had mine cancelled too. Tried to call them but waited for ages with no answer.
#15
They're probably canceling for those who haven't had the email (which i haven't). Either that, or they could just be genuinely out of stock... or perhaps they are just canceling the lower orders??
Either way... it's a bit naughty of them.:x
#16
ok deal

I have just ordered some boots - fingers crossed it doesn't get cancelled

Dear Rhianne Mace

Thank you for choosing to place an order with evans.co.uk

We take the security of our customers very seriously and to protect it we
routinely check for anything that gives us cause for concern. As a result
unfortunately we have had to cancel your order (no. 28301797), which of course
you have not been charged for.

We're more than happy to discuss this with you if you think we've made an error.
To talk to a member of the Evans Customer Services team, please call us on 0844
984 0262 (UK only).

Kind regards.
The Evans Online Team

***CAN ANYONE WORK OUT WHAT GAVE THEM CAUSE FOR CONCERN???***

Same message for me, annoying when they don't just say the real reason i.e. we decided we don't want people using 2 codes at once as the discount is too big!
#20
I placed my order yesterday and now recieved an email with the same order code. will see if yesterdays order was declined x
#21
My first order was declined as I used my paypal account which is still in my maiden so mine came back for that reason x
#22
I ordered something last week with the older codes and my order got cancelled because of "security concerns". That really annoyed me so I contacted my bank to make sure everything was OK. On reply to my email Evan's customer services reply

"On this occasion, your order was cancelled as the system allowed two promotional codes to be used in error, our promotions cannot be used in conjunction with one another. To ensure that your new order is not cancelled please ensure that you are only entering one promotional code on the checkout page. "

So you will be very lucky if your orders do go through (specially if they are £1 or so).

I am still annoyed that they play with the term "security reasons".
#23
discount going through still, I hope it doesn't get cancelled as 2 tops for a pound is excellent
#24
I tried using voucher but it will only let me use one
#25
worked for me got my mum 3 pairs of socks for a pound bargin !!!!! thanks
#26
Can't believe if there are 'concerns' that orders are still allowed to go through!!

Ordered a pair of boots for £3, then another order for earrings for £1. Was going to place another, but i think i'll wait and see if these get cancelled!
#27
i had mine cancelled :-(

#29

I sent an email to complain yesterday and recieved this back today:

Dear Mrs *********,

Thank you for your email received 29 September 2009.

Only one promotional code is allowed per order and all orders with more then 1, were cancelled by our screening department but not for security purposes. The email recieved is automated and should be ignored.

You may wish to replace orders but only 1 promotional code is allowed.

Aftab

They cant be screening all of the orders as there was loads of people that used these codes and had their orders delivered before it was posted as a seperate deal from the codes

So far, so good for me. This received at 10am today, and no cancellation (yet...).

Mine was cancelled too - ordered 3 pairs of socks for £6 and the codes worked so only had to pay £1. Then got email a couple of hours later from Evans saying due to security blah blah blah they were cancelling the order - BAH HUMBUG!!! I'm never ever shopping there again!
#36
Mines been cancelled too...if they cant get their website right not my fault??
#37
Also hate it when they aren't just honest, they are still accepting orders using both codes so it's their own fault. They should either pull the codes, patch the 'glitch', honour the orders or be honest about why they aren't. If my order gets cancelled I will be sure to cancel my account/remove myself from any email lists and suggest others do the same.
#38
just had my order cancelled! same excuse about security!
#39
I was successful with my order last week but I dont' think I'll bother trying again if orders are being cancelled this time round. Shame.

Cheers
