Excellent Been Wanting A New Watch For A Long Time And I've Had Good Reviews From Family About These Watches Also Went Through Quidco So An Excellent Buy! Thanks So Much!

the 50% code seems to work for all watches. I chose a £260 one and it came up as £130. Can't be bad!
#3
there is another thread about this going on at the same time.
#4
hi hotscot u seem to have started 2 threads for the same deal.
#5

No,this is in the voucher section,as a seperate code,as a code posted in voucher section, the other was to tell you what you can get using the code.

If that makes it clear.

For example,if someone posts a code for Dixons, then someone posts a deal how to use the code to get money off for an item, then it's not the same. :) as they look up the code in the code section to use.

This is only a pointer for anyone interested wanting to use this,if not, please tell me why vote cold.:-(
#7
hi hotscot. someone else has voted u cold not me. i think you have found a good deal, was just abit confused at seeing the same deal twice but u have cleared that up.

have some heat from me :-)

ive just noticed something thats pretty poor on their website.

The payment submission page is over clear text HTTP rather than HTTPS

http://www.christopherward.co.uk/PaymentDetails.aspx

Thats not secure and against the industries PCI handling agreement for credit card purcheses over the internet.

I decided to take a chance on this company. The payment submission page seemed to start working again using HTTPS.

I bought this model:- http://www.christopherward.co.uk/pd2_MENS_X1_C4IPK_Corax[sp]Special[sp]Editions.htm[

which was listed at £185.

The 50% discount code worked a treat bringing the price down to 92.50. I also have almost £40 tracked in quidco bringing the total price down to just £50

I have a couple of nice watches from Maurice Lacroix and even a dud from klaus kobec and the Christopher Ward watch i purchased seems very nice. Certainly good for £50 quid assuming i get the quidco back.

Delivery took about 2 days and was by royal mail special delivery.

hope this helps.

I might even buy another one, maybe a dress model.

its is very nice, has a good weight to it and has a very high quality finish described on the site as Ionic plated 316L stainless steel case & bracelet.

it has a matt silky smooth finish that is replicated on the buttons which is good attention to detail. It even has an aram which i didnt expect. the red hand you see on the picture is the alarm time setting.

It's in a very nice box and has good instructions. Overall i'm really impressed.

Cheers for pointng out the deal hotscot in the first place.

Are these better than the Krug Baumans and Claude Valentinis that regularly sell on eBay? I have to wonder sometimes, as watches are getting so cheap nowadays. I have a couple of KBs and they are lovely watches, diamond studded for less than £60 and the Principle line go for as little as £25. Very nice watches for the money.
#14
I think watches like Krug Baumans, Claude Valentinis and Klaus Kobec are all very similar. They are priced at 500 quid but then sold as though they are at a massive discount down to less than £100 pounds.

I can only compare the Christopher Ward watch above which i bought to a Klaus Kobec watch which i purchased a while ago.

I'd have to say the the Christopher Ward watch looks a much better level of finish. The jeweled buttons on the Klaus Kobec watch i have are not very good and the deployment clasp is inferior.

The Christopher Ward watch seems much sturdier overall.

I agree however that a nice watch for less than 60 pounds is a good buy and if your happy with the ones you have purchased then thats cool.

Yoshi, do the Christopher Ward watches have a sweep second hand?
#16
The one i purchased certainly does.
#17
just bought another one. More dress type this time. Was 142 after the 50% off but you also get the 25% quidco as well and the 25% is taken from the initial price. In this case the watch was 285 - 75% effectivly making the watch just over 70quid :-)

there's too many to choose from! I can't make my mind up - the 50% off code will have expired by the time I have decided!

Good find op

If I was getting one, it would be the Corex. Unusual.

Cannot get the code to work. What am I doing wrong?
#27
not sure habi, i just used it about 30mins or so ago and it was ok.
#28
I can't either. I enter code, submit then the screen refreshes and the 'submit code' bit disappears. But the price is still the same

:-(
#29
Tried on the nice Gold £260 effort, not working.

Still no joy!
#31
guys u are right, it didnt work for me when i just tried it. looks like my last purchase about 45 mins ago was the last one that worked.

sorry about that.
#32
Looks like they've stopped the code, sorry guys.
Still working on ladies watches.
#33
just missed it! :-(

that'll teach me to be indecisive
#34
Well it did last almost 3 days.....
#35
i think that is the trick with alot of the deals on here. U need to just go for it as they often dont last long, especially the 50% off type ones like this.
#36
ur right hotscot the first one i bought was a couple of days back.

Yes,considering this was an error,as code was only suppose to work for the ladies watches :)
#38
I've just used the code and it worked fine,I have ordered a ladies watch though so maybe it is just valid for these.

Thanks to Hotscot for the deal,I did see it initially and was tempted(lost my rotary watch a few weeks ago.well misplaced it but it hasn't turned up!!) but was unsure whether to take the plunge.

Thanks to yoshi for some excellent feedback, you encouraged me to place an order.I have ordered this one

If quidco tracks on the pre discount price it should stand me around £20!!:w00t:

ive been offered Claude valentinis countless times in petrol stations by dogy blokes in BMWs, they always carry magazines showing the RRP of these things as like £500 and offering to sell for £50....

The watches look awesome but id be interested in what a valuation would price the watches worth at, rather stick to well known brands :whistling:

I can't say i've bought a CV, but I can say from experience that the KBs are lovely watches. The 'Champagne' Principle is beautiful at a price of around £30.
You even get a link screwdriver with their chronographs. They don't look cheap. I also have a mother of pearl diamond chronograph which I bought for £65. Wonderful watch.
Anyone who missed out on this code should check them out on eBay. I'm not plugging them, just saying how nice they are for the money.
