Just got an email about this and am planning on doing one. Usually use kodak though so am unsure about whether I would get 50% discount on whole order (as you do with kodak) or 50% off one book. Want to get 2 copies of same book and dont really want to pay postage twice
I have made a photobook with snapfish before, and it will tell you if any of your photos have too low a resolution for where you are placing it in your book.

BUT... I have just made a signature book for a Christmas present, and I spent an hour and a half making the bloomin thing, only to preview it, for it to THEN tell me that virtually every picture has too low a resolution. What a complete waste of time. So, stay away from the signature books unless you know that all your pics have a high resolution.
That's useful to know, I started a Photobox one last night but tempted to go with Snapfish now - how high was the resolution of the photos you were using?

hmmm good question. They were photos I nicked off my friend. She has a high resolution camera (about 8mega pixels) but she has a small memory card so has put them on a much lower resolution, so I don't know... Sorry, I'm not too knowledgable when it comes to technical stuff !!
Kodak tells you when you put the photos in too :) (I have a 20% discount code for there, but this one is cheaper and has better backgrounds for the book I am doing this time for a friend)

I am planning on doing the classic book
I was going to spend 20 quid anyway so I'm thinking of going with the large book. The photos I've taken are a variety of 5, 7.5 and 10MP - I don't think even the lower 5MP should be a problem, unfortunately on the wedding day it was very wet so I had to switch to my only waterproof SLR which is an older 5MP model. Have to admit I do prefer some of the Photobox layouts though....

i'm sure 5mp will be plenty high enough. Just had a look at Photobox layouts - they are pretty good. I see that Kodak are doing 20% off (20OFF promo code).

I don't know if you have bought a photobook before, but although they're nice, they don't seem tht substantial. I just went to find mine in my album cupboard but couldn't find it for ages as it's so slim. The Signature books are bigger and look thicker, with the extra cover, which look like they would be quite nice for a wedding album.
We think the kodak photo books look good - we have 8 of them (5 different ones and 3 are copies) and are doing more. We have scanned all our old photos in to the computer and are doing albums with them. Used codes on all of them to get them cheaper
Thanks OP saved me £35 on 3 photobooks, copies get 25% off plus another 50% off with XMASBOOKS code so 3 books of the same cost me £8.30 each. Good to give a copy to the grandparents.
Thanks for the info :)

Thanks for the additional info, thats great!

How did you get free postage?
Collect at store?
Oh right, cant do that as no jessops anywhere near
Would be interested to know if anyone has any thoughts on delays by going with collect at store - I ordered a couple of canvas prints at the start of the month but there's still no sign of them. That may be because of a delay in printing but would like to know either way.

Probably because its on canvas - photos you can collect same day or next day
Well, they're already a week over the estimate - I don't know if that's due to it being collect at store or not.

On my first order I turned up at my store 4 days before the estimated delivery and the jessops had already recieved it!! (snapfish post it to my local jessops in a parcel not sure if they use royal mail).
Ive never actually thought to collect at store - jeez Im lazy!! But getting duplicates as xmas prezzies - what a good idea.

As for the canvas Johnmcl7, Ive never bought one but always been tempted. When you finally get it(!), can you let me know of the quality of it?

Mine arrived the other day, can't say I'm that pleased with the quality but the rest of my family think [email protected] just being fussy.

The canvas prints or photo books?

My photo books came last week and I was pleased with them :) prefer kodak books (although they are not as flexible with photo layouts) for photo quality, but these are good too. For that price I cant complain!
