Also tracked this through Quidco (allegedly 22% cashback) and American Express Card offers itself (10% - you need to have an Amex card, chose 'offers', safe to card and then pay for the insurance using this card)

unfortunately the duty free allowance for fags is 200 cigarettes. The rest of the stuff at duty free is way expensive. you can buy cheaper at high street sales. even booze is costly at duty free. in my opinion duty free thrives on airlines asking you to check in early and once you are through security there is not much to do but shop. Travel retail is a high margin business

I was told the voucher cannot be used on tobacco products. In fact I was told that no discount could be applied to tobacco products due to regulation in UK re promoting sale of tobacco, so interesting to see if the Amex part would be applied if you only had cigs?
Amex part applies to ANY purchase including cigs. The voucher, I'm afraid I stand corrected, does not apply to cigs.
