I agree with you, just thought I'd pop the codes on for these who use it anyways.

After the 14 months can you pay the balance off in one go. But as Syzable said, they've already stuck the interest on.

Only worth doing if you can pay it off before the 14 months are up as otherwise the interest is horrific!!
I use them on my very or additions account as items are cheaper and i don't have anything else on them as otherwise its hardwork paying towards buy now pay later!!

If u pay it all off before the 14 months they don't charge interest, so i can only guess they take it back off again. If u use the codes on very, additions etc they don't add the interest until the 14 month period is up but littlewoods etc add it on first.

There's bad history with HUKD pundits and Littlewoods due to codes not being applied and customers being overcharged as a result.
IE bad information upon checkout from Littlewoods.
Similar happens on very.co.uk deals.

Ultimately Littlewoods customer services, website coding, and understand of UK consumer laws, the sales of goods act is bordering on the criminal.

Almost 30% APR?!?!?! What is wrong with people who buy things like this?!?!? If you can't afford something outright, don't buy it! It's just that simple!!!

I haven't voted either way but i think it's because the Littlewoods group has a bad rep on here.

so if someone's washing machine or fridge breaks they should save up for months before buying one and suffer?

I see what your saying but in my case Im a full time mother and don't have a job (aprt from looking after family etc..) and keep my account in case I need a washing machine etc... in emergency as I have no money put aside as I cant afford to save on the money I receive, so its ok for people that need stuff in emergency. But I do agree with you, if you can just wait and save up then do that.

if you pay off the full amount of the items that you put on bnpl before the end of the bnpl period then you avoid paying any interest. interest is calculated from the date of the purchase but is not charged to your account until the expiry of the bnpl period. you are reminded on your 13 month statement of the cash price you need to pay so that you can avoid paying interest if you wish to do so!

Thats what Im saying in way too, so I agree with you both, but in emergencies I use Littlewoods, like you say in case of urgent need of washer etc.... that just packs up unexpectedly

That's nothing..........have you seen the adverts for places like QuickQuid who charge over 3000% APR. That's just madness and needs to be stopped by the government.

I can see that Littlewoods etc can be a god send for some and with the high risk they take on then 30% isn't too crazy.

I totally agree with you !! it should be against the law to charge that stupidly high interest rate.

don't mean to be negative but very and additions charge up to 49.7% APR depending on your account.

Ouch.

I've used them a few times with vouchers from here and then settle up straight away at the end of the month so not fully aware of their charges.

Littlewoods used to allow you to use the BNPL code and then after the 12/13/14 months were up you could still use the 20 weeks or 52 weeks payment with no 29.9% interest - I wouldn't use it anymore, unless I was absolutely certain it could be paid off before the BNPL was over.

Not voted either way.

Sorry but I totally disagree with all the negative comments on here.......THIS site is for DEALS and NOT for humpher and hawers to voice their personal opinions on whether a specific company is decent or not :|

I would vote this as being HOT because customers of the Home Shopping Group (of which there are many) might not be aware of these offers and would otherwise miss out IF peeps stop posting them. IT IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY to check out the details PRIOR to buying, IF they choose not to then, as tuff as it may be, more fool them!

All this negative BS about a company is scandalous and I honestly dont understand WHY HUKD tolerates it? Who cares IF you or someone else has had a bad time with them? IT IS A DEAL SITE not a toddlers group.......(_;)

The site does.....hence why it has a Reatiler review section and asks you to share your experiences.

I think you are missing the point of the site not the people in this thread.
