Canon EOS 20th Anniversary Cashback Deal

£0.00 @ canon

Instructions:To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the launch of the Canon EOS Range, Canon are offering cashback on certain products purchased between 01 April 2007 and 30 June 2007.

For people like me who recently bought the Canon EOS 400D deal, this seems a great way to get back some cash on the purchase of a decent lens or on the Speedlite 430EX Flashgun.

As far as I can tell, the deal only covers these items: Click the forum thread to see (click comments if viewing from front page)

Use the link to take you to the relevant Canon Europe page. It seems that you need:

1) The original entry form correctly filled out (the form is available from the site http://canonlensacc2007.onlinerebates.com/).

2) A photocopy of the proof of purchase or a copy of the receipt for your Canon product(s).

3) The original barcode from the product boxes you have listed in the application form.

I moved the info in there, as things were a tad messy when viewed from the fron page :) Thanks for the post!

It might be best to start a thread in the "deal requests" forum... or maybe carry out a forum search, using the helpful link in my signature :)

Hi all,

Do you know if a Brand New purchase at Ebay would be eligible for the cashback?

Thanks,

Thanks emmajk42, luckily my photography is a bit better than the nightmare of text I unwittingly created!

The deal says this under the Terms and conditions:

"The promotion runs in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. To be able to claim the cashback, the products must be purchased in one of these countries and you have to be a consumer of an EEA country (i.e. the EU, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein) or Switzerland. The promotion is not open to employees of Canon or members of their family, or to any Canon agents or dealers."

and then

"The cashback or discount is only valid where these products have been originally sold by Canon in the EEA or Switzerland. Canon will not redeem this cashback or discount against any other product, except where a successor model originally sold by Canon in the EEA or Switzerland has replaced the products."

It doesn't specifically rule out new eBay purchases, but may not include any deals bought outside of the European Economic Area or Switzerland as stipulated.

Looking at the prices, it's cheaper to buy one from amazon and get the 50 quid back than to get one from one of the suppliers on ebay and not get the 50 quid back.. damn, i couldn't resist clicking on purchase :)
