Was going to order a DS from Debenhams using this code. Then I remembered, their stuff is overpriced, so no real saving. A DS incidentally is £130 from them. Yeah right!:whistling:

**** they better get the new iPods up soon.

The PNLP 20% is not working for me when going through the checkout. Trying to purchase a TV with it. Can anyone confirm the same or is this for other items. The 10% PGAP works ok.

Correction ****Starts 07/09***** sorry....

be careful to check your bank the other day i ordered some baby grows and they were £4.50 ( i think) i used a 20% discount and free del, it came down to about £3.92. then when i checked my bank after getting back from my hols it said £8.80 Debenehams LONDON, i was like what did i order then i remembered these, but i was wondering if i ordered something else as well. anyway when the item eventually came (sometimes they can be really quick other times painfully slow, it was the latter on this occassion) the invoice hadnt had the 20% taken off and had charged me £3.50 postage, so i phoned them and they put the money back on my card without an issue, but i was told that you should only use 1 discount code per order, to which i replied it shouldnt have let me put them both in, which they accepted.

you just need to keep an eye out for what they do, they once charged me then cancelled the order because it had one out of stock, and i had to chase them to get the money put back on my card.

Why does is it state this @ checkout, for using codes etc.

Separate multiple promotion
codes with a comma e.g.
DEB1, DEB2

They are basically crooks. They take your money and after a few weeks refund as they can't supply.

They have your money to earn interest (and lose you interest). That is theft in my book.

If they only charged when they shipped, it is acceptable to cancel.

I don't deal with crooks.

I agree with you. Now i just do a screen print so any problems i can e-mail them the print with the discount shown and they can refund any extra monies taken.

Even that doesnt work, believe me, have first hand experience with then on this matter.

Could write a novel on the dealings and it was never hard to solve but then solving the problem meant them not making so much profit...thick as thieves they are, certainly thick...very thick!

I've tried again this morning using the PNLP code but having no joy when attempting to purchase a TV. :-(

What a rip off !

I bought this dining set 2 weeks ago:

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_60830_242797_-1

for £399.

So was gutted when I saw the 20% discount. Guess what - the price is now £499 !

There has to be a law against this kind of thing, surely ?!

Quidco says:

** Use of discount vouchers will result in your cashback being declined

For Debenhams.

Bit nervous about using this code then getting charged the full amount, has anyone else used it today?

20% off all other items

Thats why I can't use it for purchasing a TV. TV Comes under 10% discount and not all other items. Many thanks for clearing that up.
#22
nope code doesnt work.
#23
Thanks, code worked for me, just a bit nervous if they charge me full price on my debit card.
#24
Thank you, just got £14 off a microwave. Bit worried though that the discount won't work after reading previous posts.
#25
Well code worked for me and got £10 off my kettle and toaster. The correct money has come out of my account now waiting for delivery.

THANK YOU!

While I applaud the 20% discount code I will never, ever use Debenhams online again, indeed I doubt I'll set foot in one of their stores.

Their website is atrocious, in particular the address system...it decided to send an item to my previous billing address (and even said "Delivery: Previous billing address: Bonnington Road, Edinburgh") with no option to change and I did not select that address.

Their email contact is equally appalling: they endeavour to respond to any query about a website order in 7 days....7 DAYS?!? I implore Debenhams, if only for the sake of the staff that work for them before they are made redundant, to drag themselves through from the 19th and 20th centuries and recognise that they are competing in a wholly different market nowadays. 7 days?!

Long story but I placed an order, payment pending for a week and they suggested I cancel that order and reorder again....i went back to find the item on the website (the previous day it was in stock in all sizes) only to find it had been removed. Basically the whole thing was a snide way of saying that they'd cocked up.

When they finally cancelled the order I noticed it was for the full amount rather than the discounted amount I'd applied for.

They have previously cocked up another order too.

I have read enough bad comments about Debenhams to conclude that companies like this deserve to fold, simple as that.

7 days.......try 7 weeks with our problem...infact we are actually talking 2.5 months!
