Is this online only, anyway of getting off in store as I have £30 aside to buy Metroid Prime, kissed out on the Toys R Us deal.

I think this is a good policy:

Note: The price quoted for a preorder title is the anticipated retail selling price at the time of release. Should the price be reduced you will be charged the lower price at the time of your order being dispatched. Should the price increase - you will not pay any more! Money is taken just prior to release.

Saw it for 29.99 at Morrisons.

Thanks, but no Morrisons in my town:-( , and Game shops in my experience won't price match to their own website.

Has that £5 voucher expired now ?

The £5 voucher turned out to be a £3 voucher, so the £5 voucher hasn't expired it just never existed. The £5 voucher that turned inti the £3 voucher hasn't expired, but the thread has had the title changed from £5 off to £3 off so you may not find the £5 vocuher thread if you search for it because it has turned into a £3 voucher thread. Oh, but the deal description still says £5 off because it hasn't been updated to say £3 off like it does in the description. Of course all this is a waste of time if you are talking about a £5 off voucher that isn't the one that turned out to be a £3 off voucher and in fact was really a £5 off voucher and if that is the case please ignore this post because I am waffling on a bit .....

Yes, that's correct. The deals online have no bearing to what is on offer in-store.

In fact, a few years ago, the GAME.net / GAME.co.uk web site wasn't owned by the GAME Group plc at all!

Did you write the Airplane script?
Roger Murdock: Flight 2-0-9'er, you are cleared for take-off.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: L.A. departure frequency, 123 point 9'er.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Victor Basta: Request vector, over.
Captain Oveur: What?
Tower voice: Flight 2-0-9'er cleared for vector 324.
Roger Murdock: We have clearance, Clarence.
Captain Oveur: Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?
Tower voice: Tower's radio clearance, over!
Captain Oveur: That's Clarence Oveur. Over.
Tower voice: Over.
Captain Oveur: Roger.
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: Roger, over!
Roger Murdock: What?
Captain Oveur: Huh?
Victor Basta: Who?

Yeah i'm suprised that game stores are expensive, considering supermarkets etc are usually cheaper! don't know how they are still in business.

I wanted to buy a game but didnt preorder, could have got it for £27 if i had done, went into Game to trade one of my old games, they offered me £13 store credit but still would of charged me around £25!

and you have shown them that they can continue to charge those prices and still sell products, so why would they lower there prices .... you wasted the £10 voucher and you call them crazy!

The problem is, not so long ago, the shops started selling at the same price as the website - Game & Gamestation. Now, it seems that they're back up by £5 - £10 which is annoying.

I have £30 in GS vouchers, but I begrudge using them when I can get a game through their website for £5/£10 less. Its an even bigger slap in the fact when they do offers like this where they knock even more cash off! However, if you order a game and use the voucher like I did, then I suppose its a nice smack in the face :?
