Dot.Com domains for 74p at GoDaddy with code

Instructions:Get a dot.com domain for just 99cents (74p including ICANN fee) using promo code Holiday99.

From a friend on Twitter and also publicised on internal GoDaddy.com pages. Just used successfully myself, but only applied to the first dot.com domain in my basket. Not sure if this can be used towards renewals too, but worth a try.

I haven't been able to find out how long this offer will last for, though suspect it may be for only a few days.

What are go daddy like to deal with. Secured my domain that I already have as a .co.uk loved the bargain price.

I don't want to really use the domain but point it back at the .co.uk variation for now. Is this possible without further charge. If not what's the cheapest way to get a single page uploaded that has a pointer back to the .co.uk domain?

Probably some dumb questions but please excuse me if they are.

Good deal, but if you don't mind using cashback TCB on http://www.one.com gives you £10 cashback. So it works out around 70p for the domain and hosting for 12 months + you get a £50 adwords voucher.

I know nothing about this but thinking of setting up a website. Can anyone tell me how much it costs per year after the first year - even roughly. Rep will be left
#21
Correct me if im wrong but should this not be in vouchers? This "Deal" is based on inputting a coupon code.

Just don't phone godaddy support or try to talk to anyone. They are trained to upsell relentlessly. Awful company and i wouldn't host anything on their servers.

No. You can host your website anywhere you wish and simply point that domain to your hosting via nameservers.

in case you are after low cost (read - free) and you are not going to have more than 4-5 html pages, i would recommend using Google Sites or MS Office Live for free.

GoDaddy allow you to "forward" your domain to another site. Just put the domain you want it to go to in the control panel. Use it myself, and it's included in the cost of the domain!!
Russell

Thanks Russell, they have a step by step too that I managed to find after I'd tried before the first post I made.
