Don't think I'll be spending that much on a PC... But no doubt a reasonable deal if that's the spec you are looking for :)

I'm not really sure thats such a good deal you know. You're obviously looking at the top end of the market, and willing to spend that much, but the specs on those components don't match what you can actually get with that much money.

If I were spending ~£3k I'd get this (I've bolded the differences to your spec):

Intel® Core™ 2 Quad-Core Extreme QX6700 processor (2.66GHz, 1066MHz, 8MB cache)
Windows Vista Ultimate
20" Widescreen monitor
4GB Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz [4x1024] Memory
2TB hard drive [4x500GB 7200rpm drives with 16MB DataBurst™ cache]
16x DVD +/- RW Dual layer & 16x IDE DVD ROM Drive
DUAL 768MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800GTX graphics cards
128MB Ageia™ PhysX™ physics accelerator PCI card
Sound Blaster® X-Fi Xtreme Music PCI Soundcard
Dell Optical Scroll Premium Mouse
Logitech Dinovo Media Desktop Laser - (http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/94461)
Internal 13-in-1 Media Card Reader
Microsoft® Works 8 - English
7.1 speaker set - Creative Gigaworks or similar

With the spec you posted, I think Dell are ripping you off a bit!

Is this based on the offer in the Sky magazine? If so, will each code by tied in to your viewing card number?
[mod]#13
ndurve, sorry but I was having a little leg pull, my tounge was so far in my cheek it was hurting! I wouldnt be buying anything that expensive from anyone.

publicnme, the code works fine for us non sky people too, once you put the code in the box and apply it any xps kit is automaticly discounted at checkout.

I realise that, I'm just saying once the code has actually been used will it become invalid? Like how CD-Wow has individual code's registered to email addresses

Mike, is there a way of 'finding' all Dell systems without a monitor (i.e. do they share a common part of the value code or something)??

cheers,
dan

There is no set format to it but this thread should just about cover all the current ecodes used except for the very expensive units.
