The sellers still get all the money. Ebay just pay the shipping fee for you.

It didn't work for me either. Good job I didn't try it on an item for 99p with loads of PnP! Has anyone got this to work?

Can this be marked EXPIRED as it doesn't work for anyone

These codes frequently get posted and yet are nearly always specific to the Paypal account they were emailed to and not for general use.......raises the excitement level though for a few seconds though as we all believe we are going to get something for nothing from the eBay machine!

If there was a general free postage code around, particularly at this time of year, I think it would cost them tens of thousands to fund....especially with members on sites like this one generously passing it on :)

I have had them email and post me codes before, so they were intended for me but they still didn't work...the first one I got I just assumed would work so bought something cheap for the sake of it, then it didn't work so I was stuck paying for something I didn't even really want lol

I am glad I now know how to check the codes before actually committing to buy!

How do you do this? Would be nice to know if I could use the code or not.

TIA

There is a thread on here that explains how, but it's going so sloooow at the moment it'd take me a week to find the URL for you! So, quick and simple explanation is to find an item on Buy It Now that requires immediate payment, you get to go to the checkout where you can test the code, but if it doesn't work you just close the window, as you haven't yet actually committed to buy the item etc.

By where you input the code it says "redeem the code" press that and hey presto, probably wont work but it's always worth a try
