we had a free ASDA delivery this time last week. it's great for the heavy essentials but for things like fruit and veg it's far better to choose your own! eg. we received a yellow lime and 'fresh' vine tomatos that went moldy after 2 days.

ring them up, they usually refund you on the spot and you get to keep the product.

good luck to anyone getting an Asda delivery for their xmas food shop...be prepared to go out and get half your order which you wont know till it arrives isnt coming!

After one near disaster xmas thanks to Asda...I'd rather pay Ocado's £10 delivery charge!

But hot for those who like Asda I guess! lol!

Nice one!!! I HATE paying delivery fee for my food shopping, don't know why, but I think it should be free everytime if you spend over a certain amount! H&R

FAO everyone wondering why the free delivery codes have been a bit thin on the ground lately. Asda have recently changed the way they issue their codes. They now insert them directly into your account, with accounts that haven't been used in a few weeks seemingly more likely to be given them.

When you find one in your account you need to click the add button and it applies the discount as usual. If you have 3 or 4 different accounts registered at your address, say in your's and your partner's names etc, then you can skip between accounts each week and collect new codes in whichever acoounts you've not used for a while.

This used to be the case with our Asda deliveries. There was constantly tons of missing items on the order each week which basically defeated the object of having a home delivery. We got the impression they couldn't be bothered so we switched our alegences to Tesco's and their service was superb.

However after a while we found Tesco's rather expensive and tried Asda again a few months ago and they've been fine ever since. The Asda delivery driver told us that the management had deemanded they get themselves sorted and apart from a few deliveries coming a bit late they've been every bit as good as Tesco.

Presumably it was just our local store that's bucked up it;s ideas. Sorry to hear your's hasn't.

Yip, totally agree. Had my delivery last night (haven't used Asda before) and quite a number of things were missing from my order. Driver was late, an hour over allocated slot. Had paid for delivery so was a bit hacked off!!!:x

Ring customer services they should refund the delivery charge for that.

I've used the code for my delivery on 23rd December - so should give me time to go out and get anything that was missing! Thanks H&R added.

Used it yesterday but tried to amend a few mins ago & says expired. Wouldn't amend today or you could lose voucher.
