do you know if you have to have an account with them to use this code? I tried to look if it worked and it is asking for my card details before any sign of it asking for code. Any ideas?

I must be a better customer than you - my leaflet says on orders over £39!

Is your code different to the one posted and can anyone tell us the details of the camcorder please (ie make spec etc). Thanks

Code is 15234039 and the camcorder has Tech Dig - 600XS on it. It looks cheap, much like the camcorders at cheap prices on ebay that nobody buys. I've looked thru the catalogues and there is nothing I'd buy totalling £39 before VAT that would make this a good deal, particularly since everything in Staples' catalogue can be found at half the price elsewhere. IMO, don't waste your time following this one unless you want a cheap camcorder for the kids or something.

EDIT: this code is printed beside my name and address with the "pls remember to quote your code number when ordering" beside it - does that make it a code only applicable to my account? I dunno. Good luck with it.

I must admit I regret trying to get a Staples deal a few months ago as since then they have bombarded my letterbox with junk catalogues/brochures, I wouldn't mind so much if I got the deal but they turned me down as I wasn't a business.

I had a go at them about their email policy. I like receiving emails once a week or fornight, from a few favoured stores. But staples were emailing me at least twice a week, and sometimes 4 times a week.

Their marketeers think they are the most important company in the world and that customers never tire of hearing about cheap reams of paper.

So I've now unsubscribed as they abused the privilege of being allowed to send me email.

Sorry to be a bore - anyone got a picture or link to a spec?

Remember if something is "free" then that is what it will probably be worth.
I threw my Staples catalogue in the bin because the "camcorder" looked very cheap and nasty.

Googled DIG-600XS and the following link came up. The manual has some tiny pictures of the "camcorder":
