Not many people *reply* in vouchers. Plenty of visits but they're more dash & grab.

Still working for me. Just managed to process a .co.uk domain for free.

Hi
I just tried to use this and put in the voucher code, but when I went through payment process it came up at over £7 for a .co.uk before I confirmed...To anyone who has done it,did it show full prices and then discount before confirmed? Or did it take the price off first, £0.00? Thanks
#9
Hmmm - am hopin so, as it didn't go to a confirmation page - just went straight through an placed the order. No confirmation email yet, so not sure if i've been charged £0 or £8!!

What happened was it was full price in the basket. Then at checkout you enter your details and card details, aswell as the voucher code. Click the terms and conditions box too. Do not worry, although it may look like it's going to be charged to your card, the invoice will come through as the post I made above, indicating that no charge was made. There is a 30 day money back guarantee if this is not the case.

Edit - result!! - confirmation email in for £0.00p

Voted hot!

Well, it wasn;t a confirmation page as such which I got, but a page with an orange line above indicating how far through the process it was, if that makes sense.

To make this an even better deal, go via Quidco and search for "uk2" :whistling:

"Webdiversion allows you to point your domain at a different website, UK2 offers this free with our banner, or without for just £11.99 a year."
:-(
Anyone know a way around this ? I need a dns redirect

Looks like you need to pay for an extra service to get full DNS access

http://support.uk2.net/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=122

It doesn't list a cost as you need a account to log in and i don't have one.

Though if you can't change the nameservers, this sucks a bit.

You can change nameserver no problem, its just if you want to change mx or a records then you have to pay extra.

I pay £2.50/year for my domain and I get full access - I know this thread is about the vocuher, but paying £2.50 for full access really is worth it.

cool, worked for me.
#27
just worked for me! Great find thank you
#28
One small point..............are these people sufficiently trustworthy to be given my credit card number? Since I don't know the answer to that one, I think I'll pass. Thanks anyway, though.

I used to be with 123-reg, but then when i ran into problems my emails went unanswered, and then there doesn't seem to be a customer service number to call (as in its impossible to find!!).

I've used UK2 before, they were really quick in setting up the domain, everything worked fine. I didn't really use the domain much expect as a redirect, so can't really comment on the quality of the full service.

you won't get them!
ltd.uk domains are checked against companies house - you'd need an ltd in the same name!

I have a blog hosted at Blogger.com - can I 'buy' a domain name from this site and point it at the blogger page so that people access my blog by visiting the domain I've 'purchased' ?

i.e. I get bomazublog.com from UK2 and if people type it in, it'll go straight to my blog.

Also if I get bomazublog.com and bomazublogger.com for example, could I get both of these domains to point at my one blog?

What do you mean?- would a Cahoot Webcard potentially stop UK2 charging you for your domain later down the line compared to any other card? :?
