Make sure your basket is over £50 then click on order by catologue number on the left hand corner of the screen (shopping tools) - (this is before you go to the checkout) Enter the code Y21-PRDVD5 in the catalogue number feild.

can't use it with the black chair though?
#11
The black chair is £46.99 so add something to get your basket over £50, like the clearance pen set, 50 pens for £1.50 - a pack or two of those, pens are always handy, lol.

Hope this helps

Just called Viking. New stocks of the chair have arrived today and my delivery date is now tomorrow. Too late to cancel, re-order and add the free dvd player code! :-(
There maybe a back log for recent orders? IIRC someone posted on the actual chair thread that a new batch is due in February.
I made my order on the 7th Jan.

The viking website is on the slow go at the mo.........

I made a post about the date, strange they said stock was due in today. I tried to order on website yesterday, but it said back ordered. (cream chair) I rang them today and they said 127 orders were on back order, with an expected delivery of 1200 chairs on the 28th of Feb.

I ordered the black one instead, then saw this thread 2 minutes later :w00t:
May have been possible to cancel but their site was so sloooooow I couldn't be bothered to try. (it was also slow for the sales person when I rang up, they had to give up searching for the black chair code!)

If they're expecting another 1,200 then they may have already processed a large number of back orders (or only received a small number in stock this time). It's just that expecting a delivery of 1,200 for 127 current orders could maybe suggest they are currently selling a very large number of these a day?

Excellent find :) Thanks Cat! For those who ordered the chair but not had it delivered yet, Viking customer services are very good, it might be worth giving them a call, no harm in asking!

Yup, definately worth trying

I ordered the 1p Malaga chair with my last order, which was over £600, got my 20% discount as well and when the chair was delivered it was the Berlin which is on sale for £40 and not the 1p one. Well done Viking they are tops, CS never give problems and when you say you ordered the wrong thing (if it is small) they say keep it with our complements or if you don't want it throw it away. Nice people, very understanding.

And I just found out they also do price match, so my £65 refills will cost me £45 as they will match PCWB, YES.

I ordered the chair, dvd player & some copier paper yesterday afternoon and have just had it all delivered. Fantastic service, chair seems good quality for the money and the same for the dvd player (especially for gratis) If you havent ordered yet, what you waiting for, go and do it

Ha ha, guess what just arrived in my INBOX

Dear Viking Customer,

Well, what a hectic end to 2006...! And an equally busy start to 2007 - so busy in fact our server had a belated hangover. So we owe you an apology - we're sorry for the inconvenience to anyone who tried using the website yesterday. It was broken for most of the day, but our techy-boffins worked through the night to fix it - and we're happy to report it's back to full strength today. So it's back to work and time to detox, declutter and get ready for another busy year ahead. So we'll do what we can to help. We've brought together our biggest and best deals on our most essential items to help you start the year as you mean to go on.

At least they have the decency to email you, unlike woolworths, they have cancelled numerous orders without letting me know
#26
Just to clarify - the DVD player is the model no IDP-1500. I can't find any further information on the net about firmware upgrades, but it does also have COMPONENT outputs and supports Progressive Scan! I haven't got my HDTV yet so can't test these out, but they aren't bad features for a free DVD player!
#27
Thanks OP; just placed an order and found this re DVD player so all due to come tomorrow. Much appreciated ;-)

Sorry to be bumping this thread....but I really can't find where I'm meant to enter the code for the DVD?? I've got items amounting up to well over £50 but no sign of a promotional voucher box like other sites?? :?

Could someone please tell me where it is? Many thanks.

First post. HUK deals is great site. Ordered chair, paper and free DVD. All apparently in stock. Paper and free DVD delivered. Chair wasn't delivered by couriers. Taken back.
Currently a nightmare with Viking CS by e mail, as they are now saying that they have recredited my card and if I want to reorder I can do - when all I wanted then to do was deliver the chair which was on their van. Am going to have to speak with them as they struggle to coordinate by email . Shame, as such good CS reviews on here, which is why I ordered from them.

Go to "order by catalogue number" and add it in

http://www.viking-direct.co.uk/IMAGES/GB/VKG/SLIDES/MISC/orderbycat_misc.gif

Simply click on that link, paste in the number and add to basket. It should come up as free.

Came bright and early this morning.

Now to find someone who wants one... as I don't have a telly, I don't have any use for it but will always grab a freebie ;-)

reading from the other posts it appears after adding all the things to your basket you add the voucher code as a catalouge number as if you were adding an item

You could always try here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/16660/freecycle-your-goods-for-free-and-t/

Thanks Crazy1; your link doesn't work but seems to be pointing towards Freecycle?

I may put it on there but will try to find someone I know first of all.

Good little deal, have enough tea bags and coffee to last for months, probably flog the DVD on Ebay:thumbsup:

Just wondered if anyone who received their free DVD palyer has tried to see if it works?

Unfortunatley mine doesn't and i feel bad about sending back to Viking , as they provided it free in trhe firts place. Spoke with manufacturer and they said must send it back to retailer.

Mine keeps saying - disk fault. Which applies to very DVD I have and don't think all can suddenly have become faulty!!
#39
Is this a multiregion player - is there any way to make it multi-region?

thanks

Just placed a £400 order and not allowed to get the dvd player so I think it has expired and marked so.
