Don't even think about signing up. These are part of the Studio group. Just Google them to see how happy their customers are. It's another catalogue account you will be signing up for with massive penalties for the slightest missed payment.
It isn't worth the grief for a couple of cheap chocolates.

A lifetime's supply of chocolates couldn't make me sign up with this crowd.

And I love chocolate!

They really are one of the worst companies that I've ever had the misfortune to deal with - utterly incompetent and customer service is completely non-existent.

Thanks for this. Needed a new christmas tree anyway and theres seem pretty cheap - 7FT Slender Noble Tree : £19.99!! :w00t: :santa:

Who cares about the horror stories found on google - by people forgetting to pay on time and incurring charges and penalties, so what if it's the slightest missed payment - they where happy to take the goods so they should be happy to pay for them. ON TIME! If they don't it's their own fault if they get a late payment charge.

As soon as the tree arrives i'll pay by card and wont have any late payment charges as there'd be nothing to pay off! Then i can relax and enjoy my chocs :p

So what happens when the tree arrives but there is no statement with it? They promise it'll be in the post but you won't receive it. Then, suprise suprise, you'll be charged for not paying on time.

I know all companies have good and bad points but I just wish the Studio group could be banned from this website.

When my other half was an Ace customer, we received a card though our letterbox, from the third-rate courier that Ace use, stating that a second delivery attempt had been made to deliver a parcel to us.

We were unaware that there had even been a first delivery attempt, because we didn't receive an earlier card.

We tried to contact the courier on numerous occasions but the phone constantly rang out. When we did finally get through to them, one week later, and after holding in a queue for 10 minutes, we were advised that the parcel had been returned to Ace!

We then tried to contact Ace Customer Service Department by phone to resolve the situation, and again were unable to get through on numerous occasions, after being held in queue for ages. When we finally got through to them and arranged redelivery, we we were hit with a late payment charge!

Would you have paid for a parcel that you hadn't received, through no fault of your own?

Any decent company would have waived the charge, but Ace were utterly uncompromising.

Enjoy your chocolates and good luck with Ace - you might well need it!

When I used this (or a similar) promotion through the christmas book (still Studio) they only sent a box of roses not the tin. After a While I forgave and ordered some tins of chocolates thorugh the halfcost website, out of the 5 ordered only one arrived with no explanation as to why.

I got deal this about a year ago, (with Studio) received my chocs and also my items, no problems....BUT their, 'customer service' line (in god knows where) who talk down to you to in patronising memorised phrases is what annoyed me... all I wanted to do was make a payment, as you can't do (or couldn't...) it online.... which I found odd!

Well my tree was delivered on the 13th, and guess what...

I've had NO problems what so ever! As soon as it arrived (without any invoice or statement) i phoned their customer services department to pay off the full amount, 5 minute phone call and that was it, have received my invoice this morning and checked online just a second ago and it states "Total amount due for transactions: £0.00!"

After i placed my order and read posts in this thread i did start to worry, but now i have nothing to worry about, everything's paid for.

Thanks to the op for this, although my chocs haven't arrived yet!

Nice to hear - although I note you didn't get an invoice with your order (as predicted), ended up chasing it by phone and you also didn't get your chocolates. It's a pity you now can't:
relax and enjoy my chocs :p

Think how much better the HotUKdeals server would run if Studio deals were banned!
