It's also worth checking your local garage for offers. I had an MOT the other week - thought it was going to be full price - went into a local sandwich shop who had the garage's business cards with a 50% off MOT's offer!
this has already been posted, voucher won't work at my local as they are allotted a smallamount to take. try the code online first to check if it works

i take it back, this is a new one! mine is booked in next wk through a trusted friend but even mates rates aren't as cheap as this

Edited By: owens101 on Jul 28, 2010 09:51: gave up on crappy firefox which wouldn't download voucher and went back to ie instead
I dont trust halfrauds with my mountain bike, I am sure as hell not going to let them touch my car were my children ride.
I love a bit of mot I do.
Oh and did you know your local council do MOT's, mine do in cardiff anyway, and they dont rip you off and they have even done work free, like putting a new bulb in the lights, and its only like 35.00
I've been using Nationwide's ½-price offers for years. Never had any problems booking the MOT online, or any complications with any failures or them supposedly making up faults.. Obviously anyone with any sense at all gives their car a quick look over for the obvious and easy issues before going.

It might be a good price but the history of my son's and my daughter's cars MOTs and services at nationwide leaves a very sour taste - even If I we get them at 1/4 price using Tesco vouchers
