Just went to book and there was nowhere to put the code via the Alton Towers website booking system??

I went through to the end and no place to put code. It's now booked at full price?

Please can you give me details of where you got the discount code. At least I might be able to ring up and get the discount.

family only, isn't it?

when u select book online there is a small box half way dwn the page after u enter number of people going .

Just tried this. I eventually found a date with availability for 2 adults and 2 children in 1 room and then only got 2 options. just B&B - £106 or B&B with waterpark - £142. When you try without the promotion code you get loads more options and yes they are more expensive but not twice the price. Without the code the B&B is £184 and with waterpark it's £239.

So not quite half price but a good saving

I used the Woolworths two night for one offer last month, the accommodation is genuinely half price but not the entrance to the water park that's why it isn't showing at exactly 50% off, we went during school term time, it was so quiet the water park was nearly empty and there where no ques in the theme park longer than a 10min wait. I think during the school holidays is going to be manic, The splash landings hotel is great, themed like an old Caribbean hotel on a lagoon complete with fake old rusty pipes and faded signes, our room was quite small though. There is an all you can eat buffet restaurant with a huge choice, about £19 for adults but a sliding price scale for different ages .

Here is a printable voucher that gives you a BOGOF on entry to the theme park..... enjoy

So does this work for say 6 adults for 1 day? I am going on the 21st of July and can't see where to enter the code?
#11
code does not work during school holidays BUMMER but good fine all the same
#12
Not a bad deal, unfortunately i have three kids and there are no larger family rooms left so we would have to take 2 four bed rooms which make it quite expensive, shame.
#13
I've booked for nxt week and I thank you for the post. I also got the voucher for the bogof for the theme park and pre booked the water park. All together £180 for B&B for the 3 of us! It was £409 I thank you once again.

I have stayed there:

Be warned once there the water park isn't as big as it looks on the the websites etc due to the frog eye style photos they take - and can be VERY VERY busy at times

The bars/drinks/machines etc are V expensive, as is one of the restaurants.

Be warned you may save a few quid - but add it up in total and see what else you could get for the same money.

To me the water park seemed bigger than the photos, which IMO did not do it justice, I guess its subjective, I agree it would not be a pleasant place when crowded, When we went in June there where only about 30 people in the whole area.

If you did not want to use the Restaurant or bar in the hotel the local area is surrounded by country pubs that serve food and accept families.

the family and i are going on saturaday for 3 days staying at alton hotel (used the woolworths code) so is it easy to get in and out of surrounding area to eat in the evenings would you say ?

There are some great prices to be had with these offers but be aware that you need the relevant vouchers to book with many of these codes if you want them to honour them once you arrive for your stay.

I booked with the Iceland offer over the phone for the Splash Landings 1/2 price B&B offer and was warned that I needed one voucher per room per night . I was told by 2 separate agents that if I turned up without the relevant vouchers then I would be billed at the standard rate for each night without a voucher.

I ended up making 3 trips to Iceland and stocking up on booze....

Yes there are 15 pubs within a 2 mile radius we did a search before we went, but as I was so tired walking about the theme park all day we ended up eating at the hotel. I also used the woolworth vouchers, they did not ask for them but when we checked out I offered it to them and they stapled it to the paperwork

I was there three weeks ago and the food and drink in the hotel isn't cheap as people say. The main resturant in the splash landings hotel is a buffet and costs £19 pound per head (not including drinks) although you do get unlimited food if you dont eat much its quite costly. The other hotels resturant is useless if your a veggie and offers little choice. But like others say plenty of pubs around near it so probably best giving them a visit!

Just tried to book but not applicable for the summer holidays!

Make sure you have the Alton Towers discount voucher. Iceland ones were only available for the south of the country ie Leeds Downover! Reception will ask for proof to make the claim back from Iceland!
