Handmade Shoes - 50% Staff Purchase Voucher £25 each

Instructions:Don't know if this will interest anyone but I have just left a company called Samuel Windsor who enable their staff on other sites to purchase products at staff discount prices off their web site using a voucher system.

They have been running a buy one get one free promotion for some time now but the idiots didn't ever get round to changing the staff discount voucher.

To cut a long story short if you go to www.sw-shoes.co.uk and enter voucher code 'STAFF00345' in the 'promotional discount voucher' on the checkout you can get two handmade shoes for £50 as oppossed to the current promotion of £100. I think the voucher works for all the products on the site

The web site is www.samuel-windsor.co.uk

Not that I'm bitter but I hope this costs them a bit !

You sure you don't still work for them :)

Yeah, nice shoes. I can't even pretend to spend £50 for a pair of shoes, let alone a ton. But it's a good offer nonetheless. Thanks.

Great deal!!
Thank you very much!
Just ordered two pairs of shoes for £54.93 (including delivery)
And don't forget http://www.quidco.com/samuel-windsor/ you can get additional 10% off :D
Very hot!

Samuel Windsor 30 Day FREE Returns & No-Quibble Guarantee

No left last week . Trust me if I did I would be out of a job the next day after disclosing this little secret !

What happens when they charge you full price for your goods because you aren't entitled to the disccount in the first place ?

Voted cold for being a bitter twisted individual
#7
Then you send them back under distance selling regs.

Calum

You won't be able to because you bought them fraudulently by using a voucher you weren't entitled too .
The company would be in their right to refuse the return under your false pretences & the fact he has posted on a public forum makes it even worse as he is obviously bitter .

I'm not saying don't use the voucher , just don't moan when the **** hits the fan .

I bought some shoes some time ago from this company (2 for 1 offer), and the quality wasn't up to much, (poor finishing). Also after you give them your address be prepared for plenty of junk mail from them!!! :x

Thanks.

Your post turned a possible 'deal' into something a lot less tempting.

www.samuel-windsor.co.uk Two pairs £100

www.sw-shoes.co.uk Same two pairs £80.00

Sounds to me like someone there doesn't know what they're doing right enough !

I'm thinking this way now as well

They already hided the discount code input box.

If you mean " hidden " then I still see it .

I don't think by law the company can forfeit you to you rights to return (7 days?) under Distance Selling Regulations.
Effectively you are submitting your request to purchase them at 2 for £50, the company can refuse your request as you are not entitled to the discount and reject you order. If the company decided to dispatch them but charge you the full £100 (this could be debatable whether in law it can do this) then it is effectively setting up a new contract - here is your shoes, the payment is £100 but you would still have every right to return them under DSR time frame.

Still there for me, it is only on the www.samuel-windsor.co.uk variant of the website not the other one mentioned.

The code still works so I think this is an inside job to drum up business.

They could be doing a Threshers - ie. a selected people/staff promotion where the voucher 'accidentally' slipped out.

but if it is an inside job, instead of this staff promotion that causes people reluctance to buy they should have posted as a job public member with either -

a) "I managed to combine discount codes do get a further 50% off" aka a Hamleys (although this was popular the company didn't instigate this and rejected the orders)

b) or "I manupulated a code I was given and found that I could change it to get a further 50% off". which relates to another infamous offer I remember but can't recall which company it was.

Works for me (I don't want to buy anything though) just copied and pasted over to the box at the checkout maybe there is a minimum order value before discount?

Exactly. Our purchase is an 'invitation to treat' - they can reject it if they want. They can't simply modify the amount they want to charge and then refuse statutory rights (they also offer a 30 day guarantee and free returns on top of that too).

I have bought some of this company's shoes at the £100 for two price...classic black brougue type.

I wouldn't again..they're fine initially, but poorly stiched, thin soles which soon wear out and prone to leaking...apparently made in India(?).

Not recommended
