Don't we love sweeping statements...

E.g. the fujifilm A800 is only £79.99, which kelkoo tells me that is a good price, as does froogle.

If there is 10% off that, then that is a bargain, IMO.

What would be nasty if Jessops put all the web prices up a little bit before this starts...
#3
if this includes DSLRs which i very much doubt, it would be excellent!
#4
Actually if this is true on all items, there are some really good deal on DSLR
#5
Their DSLR prices are competitive and you would have to run a mile to beat them when considering the 10% off.

- And don't forget they offer 3% quidco as well.

Also if you're considering a Canon DSLR you can get an additional £50+ off with their current offers. I think it's £50 for the 400D but as you go up through the different models the money back offer increases in price also. Something worth thinking about for additional savings :)

Thats exactly what I'm going for. Brings the price down (inc cashback) to £350!!! :-D

And who the heck is voting it cold?!

I voted hot

This is nice. They have a few codes at the moment. Can these codes be stacked?

Might be a 'sweeping' statement but nevertheless totally true!!!

They admit they can't even price match other websites any more. Bearing in mind their recent store closures I think they are about to go under.

Oh and btw, just saved over £100 on nice Nikon lens by not using them.

I've been looking for Fujifilm s9600. Cheapest place around is jessops using this 10% off.

* Sigh* I have just pointed out above that it is not... as have others.

Agreed, a good find. However if you wanted a Nikon SB-800 Speedlight, as I do, it would cost c£90 more, even with the 10% off.

And you can sigh all you like emma but I can provide many more examples besides the 2 already mentioned ;-)

I don't really want to argue here fairy, but you're saying it is "totally true" that "their website is way over priced anyway"... when it's clear that some items can be had at a bargain price here.

It's the same for every website we visit - some items are cheaper than others, some are ridiculously more expensive.

Wow, just what I needed! I bought a 400D end of September, just before they reinstated the cashback offer, but Canon refused to roll it back to previous customers (between 01/09 and 27/09) so I just brought it back to Pixmania! :p

So now I need to get another one... Thanks a lot, I'd vote extra hot if I could, so I added rep' to make up for it
#19
even with the discount on the camera I want they are way more expensive than amazon !
#20
Can anyone confirm if this will apply to DSLRs? Most Jessops codes dont :(

yes i want to know this as well because if it is including this the rebate and quidco you can buy a canon 400d for about £340 which is a bargain.
#22
if it does apply to DSLR happy days
it bring the price of the 5D 24-105 kit down to £1799 ... cheapest any where by a country mile .... plus 170 cash back from canon ... result !!!!

plus a poss £50 odd quid from quidco roll on tomorow
#23
As long as Jessops are not sneaky by putting up prices just before the sale I will be buying a Fuji A800 for £72 for my daughter.

Is it free delivery too?

If anyone is interested, Jessops is in pretty dire state financially, it's just bleeding money in nearly all of it's stores. There's been talk of closure - so who knows, maybe there'll be closing down sales soon...

Shame as the initial email I got from them didn't say so, anyway worth
a try on the day to see if it works! I was looking to pick up a 40D.

Thanks jay123, the trials and tribulations of Jessops are very well documented on this site. I understand from an insider that a decision on store closures is pending early xmas trading. I also understand that they are to create a seperate and financially independent web arm of the company.

Come what may, I really believe that you'll be able to haggle some great bargains instore nearer xmas. :santa:

I dont think many high street stores do match web prices as a general policy due to the inability to verify availability of stock. There maybe individual stores that can use 'managers discretion", but I think most high street webstores really run as separate companies, so will often have "web exclusive offers" or in "store only offers"
#31
arrghh,. no Canon Mark for me then!
#32
I guess they have put the price up on the Canon 40d.
#33
I have ordered one of the £45 Casio's from Amazon since this thread started, I will be annoyed if they don't honour it now as I would have taken advantage of this 10% on a Fuji A800, if Amazon do cancel it I would prefer them to do it before 3pm today!
#34
Have tried online to enter code 3HOURS to purchase a Canon 40D and it is not accepted.

Also the 40D price has suddenly reverted to 789.99 - even though it still states 748.99 at the top of their webpage - phoned jessops about this and got usual **** from an idiot who knew nothing.
#35
Well, like a few others, I was keen to see how this offer panned, out, I was looking for a canon 40D. they had them priced at a reasonable £748, so I thought (as the e-mail they sent me said "10% off Everything") £74.80 off, as well as £50 rebate from canon was going to get me a 40d for £623.

Checked on the site, and added the inflated price 40d (now £789 changed overnight !) to my basket, added the 3hour discount code to be told it doesn't include DSLR's.

I was going to phone and kick up a fuss, but thought it would be to no avail. I'm now annoyed that the 40d is more expensive than yesterday !
#36
Unfortunately we predicted the pre-promotion price hikes... very nasty of jessops to do that.

Welcome to the forums weeron & mollusca !!!
