I've had this promo email too. I'm tempted as I wanna try some of those interactive DVDs before I splash out from xmas pressies. However I've not heared anyone say a good word about lovefilm now they seem to own every dvd rental company bar Blockbusters.

I've gone back to them - although I now have two accounts running. One with Screenselect (now Lovefilm) and obviously Lovefilm. I'm on the combination package and haven't particularly been disappointed with the service (but I have in the past). For info - I added all the interactive dvd's 2 weeks ago and the only one I haven't received is Deal or No Deal (new release). By the way, these dvd's are a bit slow, so you may get bored quickly.

Yep they are getting very slow.
Almost every DVD I send back takes two days to show up on their system, not including weekends, then once shown as returned, I can often wait at least another 24 hours "awaiting allocation", and I have 60 plus DVD in my list.

And as for new releases, forget it, you will wait forever!

LoveFilm are getting worse as they buy up the competion

Agree entirely...
Screenselect were okay, but wasn't using it a lot so left... then rejoined on a 3 months for 1 offer which is nearing the end. Half way through, it changed to Lovefilm and the service got terrible. I hardly ever get new releases, what does arrive is way down my list and takes forever to arrive and show up when returned. I won't be continuing my subscription at the end of this offer because of these problems. That said, 3 months for 1 is still worth it (works out to a fiver a month), so would recommend them at that price.

Just a shame they have a near monopoly now... some good competition might result in a better service. Might have to think about using Blockbuster.

I agree with all your comments as well guys. I was on screenselect too, now with Lovefilm on one of these 3 for 1 month offers. There's no way I would pay their normal subscription for the service I'm getting.

I'm amazed anyone pays full price for Lovefilm.

I cancelled one 3 month trial on Tuesday, received the same offer on Thursday, I ended up with 38 dvd rentals for £15-ish, admittedly half were low priority ones but decent value for the 20 or so good ones.
