Lovefilm - 3 Months Free Trial - NEW CODE!!

puzzle735 Avatar

Instructions:3 months free trial but you must signup for a specific package e.g. 2 DVD's at home at any one time. If you cancel within the 3 months and discs have been returned you won't be charged otherwise you will go onto and be charged for your chosen package.

Note - turn around time can be slow and you don't always receive your preferred discs first. However, this is ok as it gives you a good excuse to cancel!

Voucher code for 3 months is XMLFZZ720

New voucher code of PRGLFRAF2

Welcome to HUKD puzzle735! Thanks for sharing. I changed this to a "voucher" post, as it is an actual code :)

I've used a couple of Lovefilm trials and they've been pretty good with turnaround and choice of films during the trial period. My gripe with them was that a couple of months after my trial period ended the turnaround and movie choices (always from the bottom of my list shortly after I started paying) declined rather sharply. Well worth trying though if you've never used them before.

is it easy to cancel with them and how much notice do you have to give?

Its easy to cancel on line providing you do so after 10pm otherwise you get given a number to ring a call center to do it.

I saw somewhere that the 90 day free trial runs out once youve been sent 5 discs, is this true? So should i just wait until 4 discs have been sent then cancel? and also can i start another free trial once ive cancelled the old one or would i have to make a new account?

Thanks for the help

You can use the same account, once you've cancelled you can just log-in and reactivate using a new code.

The trial is 90 days, definitely not 5 discs. I'm in the middle of a 3 month trial, get 3 dvds at a time so have been through way more than 5!

I got caught off guard at the end of 3 month trail. Fastest damn disk turnaround ever. Then as soon as i was paying things slowed to a crawl. 24 hour provisional allocations, slow to send and slow to receive. It is almost like their slowdown algorithm favours free trialers to the exclusion of paying customers. Mind you as rent, rip and returner I am sure I am not a good deal for them.

Can i rent HD-DVD's with this?.

You certainly can and they have a great choice as well....

Anyone have an expiry/useby date on this code?
#22
Hey Guys Hi
I just signed up for this.
However it says the following:

"* Your trial will expire when we send your 5th rental, or after 90 days, whichever is the sooner.
You may change your package at any time, but please note that doing so will cancel any free trial."

So 90 days sounds damn great, but it looks like its 4/5 DVDs before the trial ends.
It did give a date when they would bill which I think was June but it looks like its going to be much less if you sign up for 2 or 3 dvds at home at a time. sounds like a week or 2.

Third trial trail for me to, thanks matey, rep added. as a tip you dont succeed, try it in your partners name/ credit card.
#24
Lost count of number of free trials I've had. Much better than paying:thumbsup: Cancelling is no problem do it online. If you just get a messsage asking you to phone them send an email stating you will not phone them and they should cancel. You get a confirmation email back to that effect.:-D

Which package did you select ? My last trial ended less than a week ago (cancelled online, no problems) - Signed up again on sunday for the unlimited 3 package - email shows
First payment date:June 07, 2008 Subscription package:Unlimited 3 - £15.99/month

No mention of 5 rentals

Hi

I cancelled my 90 day free trial about two weeks ago and intially left it a couple of days before trying to reactivate, thinking that when I pressed the reactivate button, it would then take me to a page where I could enter a new 90 day free trial code. Instead, it just said 'you've reactivated your account' and gave me a my billing date which was a week away from my intial cancellation date. no free trial!

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

Thanks.
#28
You must not have put the code in somewhere.... I'd cancel it again! Preferably click through to do this after 11pm so it is done automatically online.
#29
Iv tried this and i just get that it is a duplicate postcode, saying i have already had a free trial. I previously had one with Tesco, which i know is lovefilm. Has anybody else had problems?
#30
Marvellous - just reactivated with this code - my last trial only finished the other week - cheers OP!

I think you signed up to the wrong package - sound like you chose the first option, which is limited to 4 rentals - should have plumped for the biggie - 3 disks at a time - games & dvds (last option in the selection page)

cheers mate, hot added!

It says in the T&C's...

"6.1 Free trials are only available to new subscribers of the LOVEFiLM Rental Service (and not the Pay As You Go Service). Previous subscribers or triallists (of LOVEFiLM or any other service provided by the LOVEFiLM group of companies, including ScreenSelect and any websites powered by Video Island or LOVEFiLM) do not qualify for a free trial.

6.2 The free trial is available only once to any one person and to only one member of a household. Subsequent free trials by the same person at any address, or by another person at the same address, are not permitted."

I've had a free trial before, I think...so will they simply tell me to get lost?
#34
I cancelled my last 3 month trial last week as it runs out on the 18th march, just reactivated with the promo code and now have it till june

I just had a look at the site and this is what I found....

2 DVDs at a time
Limit of 4 per mth
£7.99 per month

4 discs p/m FREE within 90 days*

* Your trial will expire when we send your 5th rental, or after 90 days, whichever is the sooner.

So whatever you say is true if you take this plan of £7.99 p/m.

Just tried to reactivate my account which I cancelled last month and I am getting "you cannot reactivate at this time"

I also have "Please contact Customer Services if you wish to reactivate your subscription." when I go to the Lovefilm home page, which links to the support address

Is there any way of getting around this to reactivate? I have already used 2 or 3 codes on this account in the past.
#37
An easy work-around is to pay, and not try to get a lifetime free trial.
#38
Just signed up again for the 3rd time :D this is brilliant!!

How do you get to reactivate it? It keeps saying I have already used a free trial and cannot do so again, do I need to enter different details or something? It is the tescos 3 months trial I would prefer but I think having used a lovefilm trial is conflicting with it maybe?

cheers OP
