i would like to use this but it says you have to print the voucher???
Some centres are ok, some want to fault little things.
They are alright these MOT vouchers but I have only used one before and guess what they convieniently found a little fault (bulb) which they replaced costing £25. I don't think that the bulb needed replacing.
In other words full price MOT

I've used them for the last 3 years using Tesco Clubcard Vouchers and passed every time. Last year was 1mm off a fail on a tyre tread, which they could have blagged me but didn't.
Like most big chains, standards of service differ from each centre.
I always sit and wait and have a good banter with the manager behind the desk for a couple of hours which probably helps me on borderline cases.
Here is a direct link for 50% off with no voucher required - just booked mine - fingers crossed.
http://www.nationwideautocentres.co.uk/mot
Be prepared for a scary list of faults & hefty bill.. me, my friends - all had the same experience :)

They quoted £350 to replace front shocks on a car worth £500 which I got fixed for under £150 inc labour elsewhere.
Thanks - will check out link may proof useful
A friend of ours had both their cars MOTd with this voucher yesterday, both passed an d they used the refer a friend voucher too so end up paying £54 for two MOTs and they got £40 worth of petrol vouchers too.
i have found that they will always find many faults if you pay a discounted price.they even failed my car on a part they had previously fitted a couple of months earlier.

just wondering if somebody could post the exact link for this? - can't seem to locate it via the site..... thanks.
Good deal - but if you go on their site you can use their 'Refer a Friend' and print out vouchers - so you get £20 off your MOT or service, plus whoever you put as your referrer gets a £20 fuel card in the post. You can do this 5 times per person to get £100 worth of free fuel (usable at any petrol station apparently), and then maybe share the wealth with the rest of your family to get some more fuel!

This would give you a greater discount, plus no potential embarrassment if they say "where's your Mtalan card?".

Just had an MOT and a full service plus fuel service done and they were fast, seemingly honest, and did not give me a list of extras that needed doing. Service was completed by 12.30pm after dropping car off at 8.45am. (Old Trafford, Manchester)
Nice voucher, but I wouldn't say anything about it till you cough up, they might try and whack on £20's worth of 'service'

This is a very hot offer. I took my car to a branch in South Wales today. The online booking worked well. The staff were really courteous and even remembered my name when I returned to collect. My car passed the MOT just fine with no rip off charges or anything. There was one advisory point but they didn't fail it over something minor. The Autotrader discount worked a treat. I have nothing but praise for Nationwide Autocentres. Other people's experience must be down to problems at local branches. I took my car in at 8.30am and it was completed by 10am. Well done.

where in south wales m8?
Great offer if your just getting your MOT done.

Nationwide are full of it. Purchased a car from Cargiant and had a 3 year service warranty with Nationwide. Took my car in for its regular service, get the report back - my brake discs and pads need changing. The guy rings me and tells me that they are at bare minimum level and that I should have them replaced immediately.

They wanted £200 for pads and brakes on my Ford Fiesta (03 plate). I take my car to my mechanics (who would have charged me £130) and he takes off my brake discs and pads and shows me that they dont need replacing AT ALL and that they are nearly as good as new! Needless to say i made a complaint.
Fab, worked well for me - and my car passed
So I only paid £33 for my MOT. Other companies charge the legal maximum. Now what shall I spend the money I saved on? Decisions, decisions..

Does that not mean that they are rubbish and missing things out?

I forgot to say for my test they were extremely thorough. I watched from a distance and I did get a long list of advisory items. The car was in the garage for almost an hour.
Used the half price MOT test offer. Car failed but it was a fair fail as my brake discs were faulty. I took the car elsewhere for the work and took it back for the retest 2 days later. I was only charged a partial retest fee and the autotrader discount was applied to that also! So I was charged £13.27 for the retest instead of £26.55 great deal I thought.

33% discount on MOTs at Nationwide Autocentres

Instructions:Book your car in as normal and one of the screens will ask for a discount voucher (it gives you four options). Put the mot33offer code in and it'll knock 33% off the cost of an MOT.

Pity I can't use it - there's a minimum notice period of 3 days for bookings and I'd left the MOT past the expiry da

I've been stitched a few times by Nationwide on dubious MOT failures and would agree with the people who have said that it is purely a revenue generator for them.
as a poster pointed out. Once you find a good garage, stick with it. My experience with nationwide has been horrible but I found a excellent local one who have been great.
Ive been using Nationwide for the last 4 years for servicing and MOT (using Tesco vouchers) , every year they have passed without faults or anything needed, they even changed a wiper for free as it was knackered, this was Lincoln branch so cant say what others are like.
Nationwide failed my daughter’s car and carried out a minor adjustment without asking. When they tried to charge me I pointed out that I had not asked them to do this. They argued that they had done me a favour because it had cost less than a retest. I pointed out that a retest charge would not have applied and they reluctantly amended the bill. Even if the adjustment had been required, which it was not, the amount was ridiculous.
I had my car mot at Nationwide a few weeks ago...it passed no problems. They seem to have alot of outlets and it was the only place I could get it in at short notice..

Yes my mot was passed due as well

I always use them for servicing with my clubcard points,
I've used Nationwide Autocentres plenty of times in the past. They're ar very reasonable and professional in my opinon. And the AA agree with me

Nationwide Autocentres, the UK's Repairer of the Year 2006 (awarded by AM magazine) are now AA-approved service centres.
