Instructions:This is a printable £4.50 off voucher that comes as part of the Daily Mail's Book Club offer to save £4.50 off the RRP on the book 'Singled Out' by Virginia Nicolson.

However, several people have had success using these vouchers for money off their weekly shop in Tescos and Asda without actually having to buy the book.

Simply click the 'Use Voucher' button, print off the voucher and hand it in when paying for your next shop at Tesco or Asda.

Is it that it doesn't scan or is it just store policy not to accept it (but it will still work if you are lucky)?

Bearing in mind this is a brand new voucher for June - different barcode to May's voucher.

Thanks for posting this. My local has now put covers over the voucher box on the self service tills though. Think I may have had a direct effect on this :P

Will try it at my parents local instead.

Tried it at Asda, self scan, they have blocked the coupons insert hole, so an assistant came and took it from me, after a bit of a conversation, botto line, It worked. Thanxs.

Yep used it today no probs. Thanks.

Thank you, added heat

Just used this voucher in Tesco's twice and saved a total of £9. Could have made it £13.50 but the checkout lady decided to go on her break and her replacement said he couldn't accept it unless I bought the book  !

LOL nice 1. Used it in both Tesco and Asda today with no probs. 8 bottles of Tiger beer for £1.50 cant be bad! Especially on a hot day like today!

Working at my local Tesco, though must admit never thought of trying two (or more) vouchers for the same visit! Must try that next.

Excellent find - will try this next time I pop in :). I wish that Tesco would have a nationwide policy to do with accepting vouchers or not as it does vary from store to store, who serves you, what kind of mood there in etc.........HOT from me .

Nice if you got a willing Tesco ... attempted my first use of ONE voucher at Tescos a few weeks ago and got it flung back at me :| They sooo MEAN :|

Anyone know if Asda or Tesco in Hull (the three biggest ones) will accept? Will likely be at all of them next week.

I went to the one in oxford (cowley road) and as soon as i scaned the code, the supervisor came over and said i needed to put the coupon in the whole which i didnt do....but i panicked incase she refused and said i already put it in so she let me have the £4.50 off!!!

Wasn't going to try again....will try tomorrow!! :whistling:

Thanks for this brilliant deal....only had to pay 83p .woop

it works at the self check out in Aberdeen Tesco, the supervisor had to OK it but scanned in a second one ok. Thought we'd be pushing our luck to put through a third one as we also used a £5 off a £30 shop voucher in today's News of the World.

Didn't work in Tesco New Milton - I even had three staff try to help me with it. The 3rd one wondered why it wasn't working and then when she read it - she said "we don't accept book tokens sorry"
Sad - cos the last one that was on here I managed to save £9!

will NOT work in tesco Swansea :x

Used to work in Tesco Inverurie.....still scans but now a message says "sorry, we cannot accept this voucher"
I wonder if I had something to do with that?
Certainly saved me a lot of money while they worked! :whistling:
