Instructions:This is a printable £4 off voucher that comes as part of the Daily Mail's Book Club offer to save £4 off the RRP on the book "Ghost" by Robert Harris.

However, several people have had success using these vouchers for money off their weekly shop in Tescos and Asda without actually having to buy the book.

Simply click the 'Use Voucher' button, print off the voucher and hand it in when paying for your next shop at Tesco or Asda.

And before people start off about abusing this coupon they should have little read of this....

Do not underestimate how much Tesco are ripping off their trusting customers. A study by the Irish Government showed that, on average, Tesco stores in Ireland overcharged their customers by 3 percent. Clearly this translates into many millions of pounds of extra profit for Tesco.
No such official study has ever been made in the UK (although one is desperately needed), but our detailed study of overcharging in 17 UK Tesco stores in July 2007 - compiled with the help of managers in those stores who kindly agreed to respond to us anonymously - suggests that Tesco makes an extra £7.8 million a week through overcharging, based on the assumption that these 17 stores are representative of Tesco's UK stores as a whole.

Yes, it's all the supermarkets' fault. We are all zombies who have to shop there even if we don't like their prices. Heaven forbid we are responsible for our own choices.

I love shopping there, thanks to these coupons. I pass one store of a morning to buy my lunch and another one on the way home.

How would that work on the self-scan, I am passing an asda on thursday & always use the self service part. What happens to the coupon after you scan it? Any help would be great

Well for Tesco they have a slot you put the coupons in. The machine then registers when somethings put in it and then will accept the coupon.

Scan all items, press finish, select coupons, scan your coupon, It will then minus £4, then just pay the rest of the balance.

Make sure the balance is over £4 and not under

Depends if you live somewhere where people are likely to try and nick things using it :whistling:
#28
The answers probably no then..lol!!!!
#29
Tesco block these after the the first weekend of the month. So it's probably too late for this one there.

And the acceptance rate is a lot higher if you've got the coupon cut from the paper. If you don't like buying the Daily White Supremacist, your local library probably takes it.

See MSE Forum's Discount Codes 'n Vouchers Newspaper Summary first Sat of the month for the pros and cons.

You should have explained it was printed directly from the Daily Mail website.
#32
Can this be used when paying for an item at a counter? This would do nicely when I go shopping in the weekend :P
#33
Just came back from Asda and the coupon wouldn't scan at the self service machines:?
#34
They would not accept in asda, I'll try self scan next time, failing that I'll try tesco's when I pass there in a week or so!
#35
With asda it scans the coupon but when it asks you to insert the coupon and you do it still asks to insert coupon. So a member of staff has to come and input their code.
#36
it wouldn't even scan for me!!
