Don't use them, worst company ever with no back office support. Free is not always best. Just Google to see what others think of them!
#4
I used the "TVFREE" code 5 times (different email addresses) when it was on and the service from ParcelForce, UPS & Hermes was super!

thanks!

Hey, you do realise it is just a site and the delivery is completed by CityLink, UPS etc etc so not sure what the problem could be.

FIRSTFREE This suggests it is for new customers only?

Used it. Simple and upgraded me to £10.79. Not much but was nice of them.

Excellent! Thank you :)

Just used it but it's very misleading! If I had sent off my parcel using Parcelforce direct, it would have cost me around £9 with £300 insurance, but Parcel2Go charge very highly for extra insurance (Every service has £20 basic - which is fine, as long as you're willing to risk UPS, CityLink, Hermes not to 'lose' or damage your parcel).

I think I paid around £4.19 for £100 insurance and it was a lot more for extra! In the end, I saved about £4 vs doing it directly with Parcelforce, which is fine by me!

just used this and very happy with the saving.
thanks OP

worst company ever, ordered a pick up, paid with paypal, they never turned up so i put a claim in with paypal and lost, as it wasn't a physical item. emailed them loads and never got a reply.

Sometimes your parcels get collected. Sometimes they don't. They have a clause which basically says its a non-guaranteed service. If they fail to collect then you rebook, however you could potentially be rebooking for several days if they decide not to collect.
I have used them a few times and it is hit and miss.
From my understanding P2G also own/run other sites and services like Yodel which again is another hit and miss service. I have a driver on CCTV pulling up out side our address, waiting 45 seconds without getting out of his van and then driving off saying he could not collect the parcel.

does anybody know if this has an expiry? have a few things I want to sell but haven't even listed yet let alone ready to post?

thanks

Lot's of people giving their bad experiences with P2G, in the interest of balance, I will give my views.

We use them maybe 2 or 3 times a week for our international parcels at work and they have always been very good. I have had one or two failed collections over the last 12 months, out of about 100, and both times it was down to the courier, not P2G. No complaints for me and a great deal for new customers.

I've experienced all sides of this 1. I've found P2G to be very good, although I agree with the comments about insurance being limited. Had to claim twice for damaged packages & the refund came through no problem. I'm also a Hermes courier & prebooked collections appear on my handheld device - when you're paid by the item, why wouldn't you turn up to collect? Simple enough system that works for me

Can't say whether is P2G or CityLinks fault but my first experience with P2G has been absolutely diabolical. Next day delivery with collection arranged on monday, so I take the day off to wait from 9am-5:30pm, no sign of any courier, I speak to P2G who guarantee they've contacted the courier and it will be collected the following day, so I sit at home again off work unable to jump in the shower or pop out.. when suddenly my live tracking status once again changes to "Collection point closed"... at 2pm! So I contact them and they say they have contacted the courier and it will be collected today still.

By this point the purpose of me selecting "Next day delivery" has already totally lost its purpose and now not only am I let down but also the person who I was sending the item to.

Update: Time slot has come and gone, no courier, no contact from P2G. Fail.
#19
Update 2: Spoke to adviser again, since no one can seem to get to the bottom of the reason behind this mess they have switched me to a UPS drop off delivery.

So from a next day collection delivery with no printer required, I must now ask a friend to print me a label so I have the honor of posting my 2 day delivery that I must drop off.

I have used this site for over a year not one single problem first class

Code worked! Sent something today via UPS, hopefully it gets delivered...
#22
Used them and it arrived next day. Perfect

Was just coming on here to post this offer but saw it was already on. Used this offer for a parcel to northern Ireland, saved me a few quid & they collected on day promised
#24
Used code no prob, used citylink they picked up parcel 9.30 am from me, next day parcel had been delivered to where it was supposed to be delivered to. I can not fault the service I received ...absolutely excellent......and saved me a tenner.
#25
Perfect timing, works so long as you do not have a registered account - thank you :{

The 'UPS Access Point' service (Not the Access Point to Access Point) does that go to the address and not another Access Point?
#27
Worked for me.

Not sure how some peeps use these more than one with just a change or email address - I couldnt use twice switching between addresses AND computers - only link was same router....?
#28
Brilliant done, UPs to be dropped off at a local Nisa 0.7 miles from home. Same one I used to return UPS order before, who has time to wait for the pick up all day!?!

I booked that one and selected the address of the receiver, in my case Kiddicare.

Hey, you do realise it is just a site and the delivery is completed by CityLink, UPS etc etc so not sure what the problem could be.

If you have a problem with the delivery, i.e. your item gets lost or is late the courier will just tell you to speak to parcel2go - if anyone has actually had any joy getting their problems resolved by parcel2go I'd love to know.

My package to lost by UPS, UPS just told me to speak to parcel2go - The only way I could get in touch with parcel2go was via their live chat where they kept on telling me to contact UPS - Absolute waste of time (and in some cases, your items!)

Worked a dream for me. Used UPS access point via parcel2go loads of times with no problem. Thanks you for the code :-)

The problem with collections is the amount the driver is paid, baring in mind he is paying his own fule tax insurance and car / van maint is not paid holliday or sick pay.
My brother works for Hermes one of the worst employers.
And I would guess that 30% of their 4000 drivers do not pay any tax or NI, as they pay you as a contractor,
This is why they can undercut the Roal Mail as they get paid a proper working wage with holliday pay and sick pay.
Hermes pay is to low and you the tax payer make up the diferance paying tax credits ect.
