It was on a card that came through the door.

It says on it that it's for former customers who have cancelled.

I've taken advantage of these offers before even when I haven't been entitled to them with Sky.

If you don't get your way the first time just be be persistant and call back. Might take about 4 or 5 calls before you get there. Be imaginative, say you used to live at a different address etc.

I expect/assume this renews your 12month contract for existing customers.

Does anyone know... I bought a Sky Forever (or something like that) package, had three months of Sky viewing, decided i didn't want it and then cancelled. Forever means you keep all the Sky free services plus your dish etc. If i convert to this package, and then cancel again in 12 months, would I still have the Forever capability or would some numpty just switch the card off?

(Incidentally, a word of warning... I bought a Sky Plus box from a friend... I had it activated by Sky, it worked fine but I later realised it only had 40gb. I heard that Sky were giving away new Sky+ boxes so I thought I may as well upgrade and get a new box. When I called Sky, tyhey said I had already been supplied with a Sky+ box! Told them no, I bought my own, you gave me a standard Sky box and I upgraded myself... sorry they said, you have Sky+ on our computer so we can only consider you were supplied with it...£50 if you want a new one... Moral of the story is, just get a new Sky + box from Sky, don't bother with secondhand).

Here's my situation.

Calling sky today as I'm moving into a new house that has never had sky, current 12 month contract with
them ends on 24th, do they charge existing customers an installation fee for the dish/wiring at new property?

Cause if they do Im thinking of cancelling and getting it installed in partners name when moved, could i try this code today cause if they'll move the service over for free it would be worth a go..

Can you still get the £50 M&S voucher?

The Sky Forever is registered to a name/address/viewing card (which is paired to any box you wish mostly likely the one it's in now).

Ordering Sky PaySubs means you get a new box and new viewing card, so should be entirely seperate, should you cancel Sky PaySubs then that card will turn into a FreeToView until they upgrade the FTV system again and ask you to pay £20 to turn it into a "Freesat from Sky" Card, you see the nice little money makers Sky Digital like to impose on people.

I came close to ordering this deal but it's only good value for those on sport/movies IMO and who really really want a PVR.

Before I cancelled the checkout process on this the £50 voucher was clearly there, although Sky do forget to post it out, I had to threaten legal action on my parents account to get them to credit the account as not sending it = false advertising.

If you go through the checkout process you clearly see either a £30 installation charge or a free installation charge if you get the full HD package (which just means some sky chans in HD for £120/year)
This installation includes Sky Dish fitting, alignment and setup on the Sky Digibox.

He's talking out of his rear mate. My girlfriend had that card addressed to her and she certainly does not work for Sky or any of their affiliates.

Try ringing back or try this other deal instead:

Help needed - I have been with sky+ for 4 years. Have broadband also with Sky and would like to keep the Email address. What is the best way to get a free HD box and some decent channels. I currently get Sky+, sky 4 pack, everyday broadband and sky talk freetime for £29 per month.
#17
is this only available via phone or on-line too?
